Stanley’s Camp features ten individually designed canvas safari tents, raised on wooden decking. Large numbers of plains game and predators can be found throughout the year. Following the recent introduction of rhinos to this concession, the area is now home to the famed Big Five. Predators include several lion prides, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, and the rare and endangered wild dog. Large herds of elephants and buffalo frequently roam the area. Blue wildebeests, steenboks, giraffes, greater kudus, impalas, Burchell's zebras, and tsessebes are common, while the region's flood levels attract the much-sought-after water-dwelling antelope species, such as sitatunga and red lechwe. Additionally, the area harbors unexpected smaller gems, including frogs and neon-blue water lilies.

The region is home to over 400 species of birds, including the African fish eagle, Bateleur, crested and wattled cranes, black-tailed godwit, sacred ibis, green pigeon, and the rare and elusive Pel’s fishing owl.
