South Africa is a country that you should visit at least once in your life. With its sun-kissed beaches, majestic mountain peaks, and golden savannas; this biodiverse country is everything you expect and so much more.

Overview

Your journey begins in the “mother city” of Cape Town where you explore the vibrant streets, savor world-class cuisine and wines, and interact with the friendly locals. Your home for the next few days is the award-winning One & Only Cape Town, where you will experience extraordinary facilities, opulent accommodation, and warm hospitality.

After exploring the gorgeous coastline of Cape Town and the picturesque wine country, you head off on a true African safari adventure, staying in two famous private reserves located in the greater Kruger National Park:- Sabi Sands and Timbavati.

Both reserves are renowned for the big five but the Sabi Sands is most famous for its big cat sightings, whilst the Timbavati offers the opportunity to see rare white lions. Your time on safari will be spent exploring the wilderness on open vehicle game drives and guided bush walks, encountering Africa's wildlife up-close.

You will first enjoy an intimate and personalized safari experience at Sabi Sabi Little Bush before heading to the Timbavati for an authentic tented safari offered at Ngala Tented Safari Camp.

Both lodges are ultra luxurious with world-class facilities and exceptional service, making it the ideal choice for travelers wanting the best of the best.

Itinerary

Day 1 - 4: Cape Town, South Africa

Today you will be met on your arrival at Cape Town's International Airport and transferred to your luxurious Waterfront hotel for check-in.

During your stay in Cape Town, you will have the opportunity to explore the bustling V&A Waterfront only a short walk from your hotel, as well as other top attractions. Cape Town is a friendly city with a wide range of activities for everyone. We highly recommend visiting Table Mountain, Boulders Beach which is home to African penguins, and the Cape Winelands for some fine cuisine and world-class wines. One of our expert consultants will be more than happy to discuss the various options available to you.

The reserve is home to the Big Five (elephant, rhino, lion, leopard, and buffalo), as well as cheetah, wild dog and hundreds of other species of animals, birds, and plants indigenous to the area. Highly trained and experienced rangers and Shangaan trackers ensure that your safari experience ranks amongst the best in the world.

Thanks Pascal you are amazing!
From the moment we arrived in South Africa, our safari adventure was nothing short of extraordinary. Nestled in the heart of the African wilderness, we found ourselves surrounded by the breathtaking landscapes of Kruger National Park, a haven for wildlife enthusiasts. Our accommodation was luxurious yet seamlessly integrated into the natural environment, offering us stunning views of the savannah from the comfort of our private deck. Each day began with an exhilarating sunrise game drive, where our expert guide shared his deep knowledge and passion for the local wildlife. Witnessing the "Big Five" was an awe-inspiring experience that left us in complete awe of nature's magnificence. The guides were incredibly knowledgeable and made sure we felt safe while immersing ourselves in the wilderness. Evenings were equally enchanting, with sundowner drinks enjoyed against the backdrop of a fiery African sunset, followed by sumptuous dinners under the starlit sky. The cuisine was a delightful fusion of local flavors and gourmet dishes, perfectly complementing the day's adventures. The sense of community at the lodge was heartwarming. The staff were attentive, ensuring every need was met with a smile, and fellow travelers quickly became friends as we shared stories around the campfire. Our South African safari was more than just a holiday; it was a transformative journey that connected us with nature and left us with lasting memories. For anyone seeking an adventure that combines luxury, education, and unparalleled wildlife encounters, a safari in South Africa is an absolute must. We left with hearts full of gratitude and a profound appreciation for the natural world, eagerly planning our return to this magnificent land.

7-nights Safari
I made a reservation for a 7-night safari trip to two specific Private Game Reserves in the Kruger National Park in South Africa, for one of the busiest months in Kruger: August. This reservation was made at the last minute. (3 days ago). A reservation that had some special features, with choices from someone who has already done (my husband and I) several safaris in other African countries. The architecture and design of the lodges are important to us on a professional level. And the Private Game Reserves had to be the best. Anja Meyer, from Safari.com, started and completed the reservation process in 4 days, two of which were weekends. Very efficient, fast and understanding what we wanted for our week in the bush. We are "addicted" to safaris, wildlife, bush, landscapes, nature... and we love Africa and the Africans. We can't wait for August to arrive. Thank you!

My first experience a number of months…
My first experience a number of months back wasn't as I wanted. I picked up with Dolan a little after this to find when the best time to Safari was with the chance of seeing the "big 5" and he was so helpful, guiding me to July-September. With the cooler winter months being the better chances to see more wildlife and the big five. This lead me on to deal with Jayson. Jayson has pulled out all the stops, working past 9pm Cape Town time( 8pm London UK) to help meet my needs. I travel out on 6th July and cannot wait, Thank you Dolan and Jayson. I've had last minute questions and requests right before and during our trip and she always responds with record time and helps us out. I feel all of our needs have been met and I couldn't be happier with Sara as our travel representative! Highly recommend her! :)
