9-Day South Africa and Victoria Falls Adventure Safari

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Cape Town  

Your adventure begins in Cape Town, one of the most iconic cities in the world, where you will stay at Thirty on Grace in a Double Room with an en-suite shower for three nights. Cape Town’s unique location is nestled comfortably in a quiet cul de sac beneath the tall trees of Upper Claremont.  

Day 2: Exploring Cape Town  

Spend your day uncovering Cape Town’s rich culture and breathtaking landscapes. Highlights include the V&A Waterfront, the Zeitz Museum of Contemporary African Art, and Table Mountain, where you can hike or take a cable car to enjoy panoramic views of the city. Explore Boulders Beach, home to a colony of African penguins, and take a scenic drive along the Cape Peninsula, including the famous Chapman’s Peak Drive.  

Day 3: Cape Winelands and Natural Beauty  

Dive deeper into Cape Town’s offerings by exploring the Cape Winelands in Stellenbosch or Franschhoek, sampling world-class wines and cuisine. Alternatively, visit Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, where you can stroll along the treetop canopy walkway or attend a live concert. For history enthusiasts, a tour of Robben Island, where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned, provides a poignant experience.  

Day 4: Travel to Sabi Sand Game Reserve  

Depart Cape Town for the renowned Sabi Sand Game Reserve. A flight from Cape Town International Airport (CPT) to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport (MQP) will be followed by a scenic transfer to Inyati Game Lodge, where you’ll stay for three nights in a comfortable chalet.  

Day 5: Game Drives and Wildlife Encounters  

Start your day with an early morning game drive, exploring the 65,000-hectare Sabi Sand Reserve, famed for its Big Five sightings and diverse ecosystems. Experienced rangers and trackers will guide you through the savannahs and riverbeds, ensuring an unforgettable safari experience. Spend the afternoon relaxing at the lodge before heading out for an evening game drive and a magical dinner under the African stars.

Day 6: Walking Safaris and Relaxation  

In addition to game drives, take part in a guided walking safari, where you’ll learn about the smaller wonders of the bush, from plants to insects and animal tracks. Enjoy your lodge’s amenities, including in-room Wi-Fi and exceptional dining, while soaking in the tranquility of the wilderness.  

Day 7: Travel to Victoria Falls  

Bid farewell to the Sabi Sand Game Reserve and transfer back to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport for your flight to Victoria Falls International Airport. Upon arrival, you’ll be transferred to 528 Victoria Falls, where you’ll spend two nights in a King Room.  

Day 8: Discovering Victoria Falls  

Experience the majesty of Victoria Falls, the world’s widest waterfall, on a guided tour that showcases the best viewpoints. Adventure seekers can indulge in thrilling activities such as white-water rafting, bungee jumping, or a scenic helicopter flight over the falls. For a more relaxed option, enjoy a sunset cruise on the Zambezi River, taking in the natural beauty of the area.  

Day 9: Departure  

On your final day, transfer from 528 Victoria Falls to Victoria Falls International Airport for your flight to Johannesburg (OR Tambo International Airport). As you reflect on the incredible landscapes, wildlife, and cultural experiences of this journey, you’ll take home unforgettable memories of Cape Town, Sabi Sand Game Reserve, and Victoria Falls.
