This exciting safari experience takes you deep into Zambia’s Lower Zambezi National Park, managed by the Zambia Wildlife Authority and supported by Conservation Lower Zambezi. You will explore two exclusive camps, enjoy a variety of professionally guided safari activities, and experience the stunning wildlife and landscapes of this renowned park. The itinerary includes return flights from Lusaka to Jeki, transfers between camps via game drives and scenic boat rides, and a fully inclusive package.
Upon arrival in Lusaka, you'll take a scenic flight to Jeki Airstrip, offering stunning aerial views of the Zambezi River. At Jeki, you’ll be greeted by your guide and transferred to Chiawa Camp via a game drive, giving you a taste of the wildlife right from the start.
Once at Chiawa, settle into your luxury accommodations. Depending on your arrival time, you can enjoy a relaxing evening boat cruise on the Zambezi or a brief sunset game drive.
Start the day with a morning game drive, exploring the rich wildlife of the Lower Zambezi, including elephants, lions, and buffalo. Afterward, relax back at the camp or take a leisurely boat trip along the Zambezi River, where you’ll have a chance to see hippos, crocodiles, and an array of birdlife.
As the sun sets, head out on a night game drive to witness the park’s nocturnal creatures in action, enhancing your safari experience.
This morning, venture out for a thrilling canoe safari, silently paddling along the Zambezi and observing wildlife at close range from the water. Later in the afternoon, enjoy a guided angling trip or opt for another boat excursion to further explore the river’s rich ecosystem.
As evening falls, a night game drive will give you another opportunity to discover the park's nocturnal wildlife.
After breakfast, enjoy a scenic boat transfer to Old Mondoro, taking in the breathtaking beauty of the Zambezi River and its surroundings. Upon arrival at Old Mondoro, settle in and embark on a late afternoon game drive or boat safari to explore the new territory and wildlife around the camp.
This transfer offers not just transportation but also an intimate encounter with the landscape.
Today, begin with a professionally guided walking safari, allowing you to experience the Lower Zambezi on foot, up close and personal with its diverse flora and fauna. Walking safaris offer an entirely different perspective, immersing you in the wilderness.
In the afternoon, unwind at the camp or join a boat trip or angling excursion. Your evening may conclude with another game drive or a serene boat trip under the stars.
In the morning, embark on a game drive, seeking out the park’s predators, including lions and leopards, as well as large herbivores such as elephants and buffalo. The afternoon offers the chance to take another canoe safari (for guests 12+), or a peaceful boat ride, offering up-close views of hippos and crocodiles.
A final night game drive or boat safari will cap off your wildlife adventures in the Lower Zambezi.
Enjoy a last early morning game drive or boat trip before your final breakfast at Old Mondoro.
