9-Day Luxury Botswana Wetlands to Wilderness Safari

Day 1: Floating to Mopiri

Upon arrival at Maun International Airport, you'll catch a 40-minute internal flight to Mopiri in the Okavango Delta. Your guide will meet you at the airstrip and take you on a quick 10-minute boat ride to the lodge, where you’ll check in and have lunch before setting out on a water safari.

Mopiri is surrounded by permanent lagoons and channels, so all exploration is done by boat. You’ll also have the chance to take guided walks on nearby islands. In the evening, enjoy drinks and share stories by the fire before dinner on the deck under the stars.

Day 2: Sundowner Cruise

Wake up to the smell of fresh coffee and watch the sunrise over the Okavango Delta. Head out early to spot hippos, crocodiles, and the elusive sitatunga antelope. Bird lovers may even spot the rare Pel’s fishing owl.

After breakfast back at the lodge, relax by the pool or unwind with views of the lagoon. In the afternoon, try fishing, a birding walk, or enjoy a sundowner cruise around the lagoon. End the day with dinner by the campfire, watching nightfall over the Delta.

Day 3 - 5: Mokoro Ride

Spend the day exploring the Okavango Delta’s waterways and remote islands. Your guide will help you spot hidden wildlife like reed frogs, hippos, and crocodiles.

Take a peaceful mokoro ride through the papyrus-lined channels and return to the lodge in time for sundowners and another magical dinner under the stars.

Day 6: Fly to Moremi Game Reserve

Start the day with a final cruise on the lagoon before breakfast. Then, catch a short flight to Mankwe Tented Retreat, on the edge of Moremi Game Reserve.

After a game-viewing transfer from the Khwai Airstrip, settle into your tent and enjoy lunch overlooking the bush. In the afternoon, head out on your first game drive in search of predators and other wildlife, finishing with sundowners in the bush. Return to the lodge for dinner in the boma under the stars.

Day 7: The Mankwe Tented Retreat

Rise early for a morning game drive, looking for lion, leopard, and buffalo as they start their day. Enjoy coffee in the bush before heading back to camp for breakfast.

Spend the afternoon relaxing by the pool, then go on another game drive in the late afternoon, followed by dinner and drinks around the Boma fire.

Day 8: Wildlife Experience

After breakfast, embark on another game drive, ticking off more wildlife sightings.

Return for lunch and relax by the pool before heading out for your final evening game drive, complete with sundowners. End the day with a fireside dinner, sharing stories of your safari adventures.

Day 9: Day of Departure

On your last day, enjoy a relaxing morning at the camp with coffee on your private deck or one last game drive.

After breakfast, you'll be transferred back to Maun International Airport for your journey home.
