The Details
Built in 1904, the five-star Victoria Falls Hotel, also known as the "grand old lady of the Falls," was the first hotel to establish itself in the area.
The Edwardian-style hotel is just a short walk from a private path that leads to the magnificent Victoria Falls, offering unobstructed views of the "Smoke that Thunders" and the iconic Victoria Falls Bridge. The hotel is set within beautifully manicured gardens lined with lily ponds and ancient trees. Infants under 3 stay free when sharing with paying guests (cots provided; max 2 free infant meals per booking). Children 3–11 pay 50% of the room rate on B&B basis in Classic, Stables Signature Wing and Premium Rooms (not Suites); children 3–11 sharing with an adult are charged single occupancy with child paying for breakfast only. Children 12+ are treated as adults. Child meals: 3–11 pay 50% of adult rates (buffet only).
Notable exceptions
- Child rates do NOT apply to Suites — only to Classic, Stables Signature Wing and Premium Rooms. Extra beds/mattresses for children cannot be placed in the same room as parents; inter-leading rooms are recommended for families. Inter-leading rooms accommodate a maximum of 2 adults and 2 children under 12, and both rooms are charged as two rooms. Infant meal maximum of 2 free per booking.

Guided Walk on the Masuwe Sanctuary
A guided walk on the Masuwe Sanctuary is included as one of the daily wildlife activities at Masuwe Lodge (near Victoria Falls). The walk is restricted to guests aged 12 years and over, and is included in the accommodation rate alongside other activity options such as game drives.
No children under 12 years permitted. Included as one daily wildlife activity per stay. Other activity options include game drives on Chamabonda Vlei (Zambezi National Park) or Masuwe Sanctuary.
