Built in 1904, the five-star Victoria Falls Hotel, also known as the "grand old lady of the Falls," was the first hotel to establish itself in the area.
The Edwardian-style hotel is just a short walk from a private path that leads to the magnificent Victoria Falls, offering unobstructed views of the "Smoke that Thunders" and the iconic Victoria Falls Bridge. The hotel is set within beautifully manicured gardens lined with lily ponds and ancient trees. Children aged three to eleven are welcome at reduced rates in Classic, Stables Signature Wing and Premium Rooms, subject to availability; child rates do not apply to the suites. A child of three to eleven occupying their own room pays 50 per cent of the applicable rate on a bed and breakfast basis, while a child sharing with an adult is charged the single occupancy rate with breakfast payable for the child. Infants under three stay free of charge when sharing with paying guests, to a maximum of two per booking, and children aged three to eleven pay half the applicable buffet meal rate; interleading rooms accommodate a maximum of two adults and two children under twelve and are charged as two rooms.
