You Should Know
Children aged 6 and over are welcome at Xigera Safari Lodge, and the full adult rate is charged. Children aged between 6 and 16 years must share a suite with one adult. Children partaking in boating or mekoro excursions must wear life vests at all times. For safety reasons, children under the age of 12 may not participate in walking or mekoro excursions. Guests traveling with children aged between 6 and 12 will be required to book a Private Vehicle for the duration of their stay.
The Details
The 11 Standard Suites boast a separate lounge, bedroom, dressing area, full bathroom, and outdoor shower. They are equipped with Wi-Fi and air-conditioning, and each has a private deck with a gazebo providing uninterrupted views of the floodplain.
The Xigera Family Suite comprises two complete bedrooms, each with its own full bathroom, dressing area, and outdoor shower, along with all the amenities found in a standard suite. These are connected by an interleading lounge area that opens up onto a deck with an outdoor gazebo.
The Baobab Treehouse Sleep-Out Experience
Situated 1 kilometer from the lodge, the remarkable steel structure, fashioned in the iconic silhouette of a baobab tree, rises nearly 10 meters above the floodplains. On the second level, the bedroom boasts canvas walls that can be fully opened or securely closed for privacy and weather protection. Venture to the summit of the "baobab" to find an open-air deck, perfect for leisurely lounging, reading, and observing wildlife or spending the night in the open air.

Stay four nights at Xigera and pay for only three, applied consecutively so that eight nights are charged as six. The offer is valid for stays until 19 December 2026, excluding 1 June to 30 September 2026 and 20 December 2026 to 5 January 2027. It is subject to availability at the time of booking, cannot be combined with any other promotional offer and does not apply to exclusive-use bookings.
Long stay
Stay a minimum of three nights in a Suite or the Xigera Family Suite at full published rates and return scheduled light-aircraft flights between Maun and Xigera are included. Valid for stays until 19 December 2026, excluding 1 June to 30 September 2026 and 20 December 2026 to 5 January 2027, and applicable only on the Maun to Xigera to Maun routing, with no credit given for alternative routings. Not combinable with other promotions and not applicable on SADC rates or exclusive-use bookings.

Safari and Sea: book four nights at Xigera at full rates in a Suite or the Xigera Family Suite and receive two complimentary nights at either The Twelve Apostles Hotel and Spa in Cape Town or The Oyster Box in Durban, with a two-course lunch for two at The Twelve Apostles or a curry buffet for two or a pizza and burger lunch at The Oyster Box. Complimentary nights are based on a Luxury Room at The Twelve Apostles or a Luxury Sea Facing Room at The Oyster Box, with supplements payable for higher room categories, and may be split as one night at each property where a single itinerary does not allow two nights in one city. Children aged 6–12 require a mandatory Private Vehicle for the duration of their stay (USD 500/night low season; USD 850/night peak season, non-commissionable). When booking the Xigera Family Suite, a 4-seater private vehicle is confirmed at the time of booking. The Family Suite comprises two full bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms joined by an interleading lounge; occupancy is 2 adults + 2 adults, or 2 adults + 1–2 children. Minimum of 4 guests charged in peak periods and 3 guests in off-peak. Standard suites accommodate only 2 adults sharing OR 1 adult + 1 child. Children under 12 may not participate in walking or mekoro excursions for safety reasons; children on boating or mekoro excursions must wear life vests at all times.

Mekoro Excursions
Xigera Safari Lodge includes seasonal mekoro (traditional dugout canoe) excursions as part of its all-inclusive rates. Guests glide through the waterways of the Okavango Delta in traditional dugout canoes. Children under 12 may not participate, and children partaking must wear life vests at all times.
