You then travel onwards to the magical coast of Mozambique. With its warm turquoise waters and white sandy beaches, Mozambique is the perfect location to relax and sink your toes in the sand, or take part in a number of beach and water activities offered at Machangulo Beach Lodge. Itinerary

Day 1 - 3: Arrive at Johannesburg's OR Tambo International Airport

This morning you arrive at Johannesburg's OR Tambo Airport, where you will connect with a scheduled flight to Kruger Mpumalanga Airport and transfer by road to your lodge. Depending on your time of arrival, you may venture out on your first-afternoon game drive in the private reserve of Mjejane. Be sure to have your camera ready as your ranger brings you up-close to the animals. Enjoy your first African sunset beside the river before heading back to the lodge for a scrumptious dinner.

The following days will start off with early morning game drives in the Kruger National Park as you search for the Big 5. On your return, you will sit down to enjoy brunch and then have some time to relax before heading out on an afternoon game drive in the Mjejane Game Reserve. Savor boma dinners, starlit skies, and breathtaking views from your private patio, which overlooks the Crocodile River.

Day 4 - 8: Mjejane to Machangulo Beach Lodge

This morning, you bid farewell to the African bush as you transfer by road to Machangulo Beach Lodge, which is an approximate 3 to 4-hour journey. On your arrival, you are welcomed by the friendly staff of Machangulo as you begin your vacation in a tropical paradise. Enjoy your favorite beverage while you watch the sunset over the ocean and later delight in some spectacular Mozambican cuisine.

The next few days are yours to explore the island or to do absolutely nothing. Should you feel a little adventurous, be sure to explore the ocean with a number of activities on offer at the lodge. A visit to Inhaca Island and Santa Maria is highly recommended.

Day 9: Depart Machangulo Beach Lodge

After one final walk along the white sandy beach and breakfast, you bid farewell to Mozambique as you transfer by boat to Maputo Marina and then transfer by road to Maputo Airport, or alternatively, transfer by road directly from the lodge to the airport. On arrival, you will check in for your scheduled flight back to Johannesburg's OR Tambo Airport.
