MalaMala Main Camp
As the reserve’s original camp, you will instantly connect with the history, wildlife, and charm that first put MalaMala on the map. Exuding warmth and welcoming guests of all ages to discover Africa without limits, MalaMala Camp is an easy favourite.
Understated luxury and traditional African vibrance set the scene at this five-star MalaMala bushveld camp, located along the Sand River. Legends live on here through rare maps, historic photographs, and original wildlife art that reflect decades passed. The sunlit and vast savannahs of this reserve span 13,200 ha (33,000 acres).
Your luxury suite or room features a private deck with views of either the Sand River or a nearby waterhole, which regularly attracts various wildlife and birdlife. After a day of discovery, reflect on your adventures while relaxing in the camp’s infinity pool or enjoying a professional massage in your own space.
Seasonal itineraries fill your days with game drives, bush walks, sundowners in the wild, and dinners in the reed-enclosed boma. MalaMala Sable Camp

Located at the southern end of the main MalaMala camp, up to 20 guests are welcome across 5 thatched-roof suites and the larger two-bedroom Lion’s Den suite. All suites feature indoor baths, outdoor showers, and spacious decks, each telling a story of old-age safari luxury blended with modern amenities.
The camp can be exclusively reserved for an intimate getaway with loved ones, or else booked for private stays. Spend your days in awe of your surroundings, connecting with the wild, and forming a relationship with yourself that can only transpire in the heart of Africa. From dining under clear and star-filled skies to night game drives and delicious bush breakfasts, you will soon discover why MalaMala is loved by all.
There are many standout qualities to Sable Camp, including constant and ever-changing vistas across the bush, river, and waterhole. MalaMala Rattray’s Camp
