Simbavati Waterside is one of the newest additions to the Simbavati luxury lodges situated in the Klaserie Private Nature Reserve (just 30 minutes drive from Hoedspruit Eastgate Airport) in the Greater Kruger National Park in South Africa.

The Detail
This intimate luxury lodge enjoys the most beautiful setting, with a vast array of wildlife drawn to the water by the dam surrounding the lodge. Guests need not be on a game drive to enjoy sightings of large herds of animals, including elephants, buffalo, hippos, and much more.
The carefully designed lodge structure provides privacy for couples while also offering family-friendly spaces. Simbavati Waterside offers eight Luxury Rooms, consisting of two Luxury Suites, four Two-Bedroom Luxury Suites, and two Luxury Suites with small plunge pools, each positioned to ensure guest privacy and furnished for maximum comfort.

Children of all ages welcome. 0–3 years: no charge (incl. meals). 4–11 years: 50% of per person sharing rate when sharing with parents in Two-Bedroom Luxury Suites. 12+ sharing with parents: full per person sharing rate. Any child sharing with one adult pays the adult rate.
Notable exceptions
- Children of all ages are welcome to stay at Simbavati Waterside Lodge, accommodated in the Two-Bedroom Luxury Suites (2 adults + 2 children). Game drives are restricted to children aged 6 and older. The Shilope Sleepout Deck (bookable in conjunction with a Waterside room) does not accept children under the age of 16. Conservation levy (Klaserie Private Nature Reserve) is charged per person aged 12 and older; children under 12 are not levied. Babysitting is not offered (explicitly listed under exclusions).

Wilderness trail
Simbavati Trails Camp Walking Safari
Simbavati Trails Camp is a dedicated walking safari camp within the Klaserie. Guests transfer compulsorily from Hoedspruit Eastgate Airport (approx. 1½ hours) or from Simbavati Hilltop Lodge, with one daily scheduled return transfer. The camp programme includes afternoon bush walks, and guests stay overnight at the trails camp. A promotional add-on offer allows guests who stay 2 nights at any Simbavati lodge to receive a 30% discount at the Trails Camp.
Transfer from Hoedspruit Eastgate Airport approx. 1½ hours; collection from Simbavati Hilltop Lodge at 13:45; departure from Trails Camp at 10:00; one daily return transfer (late arrivals may miss the afternoon bush walk and incur additional charges); private vehicles not permitted to drive to camp; self-drive guests may park at Simbavati Hilltop Lodge at no extra charge.

The Shilope Sleepout Deck at Simbavati Waterside Lodge is an elevated, solar-lantern-lit sleep-out platform set within the Klaserie Private Nature Reserve. It features a king-sized bed, a top-level lookout deck, and an en-suite shower and toilet with hot running water. Guests enjoy a canapé-style dinner, fall asleep to nocturnal bush sounds, and wake to birdsong and sunrise. No evening game drive takes place on the night of the stay. Must be booked in conjunction with a room at Simbavati Waterside. No children under 16.
Capacity: 2 adults (exclusive use). Age limit: no children under 16. Includes canapé-style dinner. En-suite shower and toilet with hot running water. No evening game drive on the night of the sleepout. Must be booked in conjunction with a Simbavati Waterside room. Bookings subject to availability and must be made in advance.
