The Detail

Honeyguide's Khoka Moya Lodge features a corrugated iron design. It is located beside a riverbed and overlooks the pristine bushveld.

The camp boasts 15 spacious safari tents, each equipped with king or twin beds draped in mosquito netting. The tents include oversized en-suite bathrooms with twin showers and double vanities, cotton sheets and down duvets, a large sofa, a writing desk, a fan, reading books, bottled water, and an outside deck for relaxation.

The lodge facilities include a reception area made from recycled wood and thatch, a curio shop, a dining area, a lounge area, a bar, and a swimming pool amidst lush lawns.

Dining at the camp is communal and typically takes place outdoors, complemented by log fires and torches. The cuisine focuses on simple, homemade dishes that incorporate local produce. Special arrangements can be made for in-room dining or private bush dinners.

Activities offered at the camp or nearby include morning and afternoon open-vehicle game drives in the private reserve or the neighboring Kruger National Park, birdwatching from a newly built hide opposite a watering hole, guided hiking and walking safaris (available at an additional cost), plant life and flora exploration, footprint tracking, private guided tours, and wildlife photography (available at an additional cost).

The 23,000-hectare private Manyeleti Game Reserve consists of just three lodges, ensuring that you can experience the best of South Africa far away from crowds. Manyeleti is one of the remaining 'hidden gems' and forms part of the Greater Kruger National Park. This park boasts the famous Big 5, as well as 517 species of birds, 147 species of mammals, 114 species of reptiles, 50 species of fish, and 33 species of amphibians that have been recorded.
