The Detail

In a remote corner of the game-rich Serengeti National Park, a 10,000-hectare (24,700-acre) wildlife concession leased from Maasai landlords offers guests an exclusive Tanzanian safari at Klein’s Camp.

This diverse vegetation attracts an abundance of wildlife to the area, including vast resident lion prides, leopards, and cheetahs. The camp is also within easy reach of the world's Greatest Mammal Migration, which sees thousands of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles traveling between the Serengeti and the Masai Mara in search of fresh grass that sprouts from the annual rains. The camp is located on a popular route used by the wildebeest as they move between north and south, affording guests the opportunity to witness this incredible spectacle twice during the year.

The camp boasts ten beautifully appointed cottages, including one family suite.

Each stone-walled and thatched-roof cottage features double or twin beds draped with mosquito netting, an en-suite bathroom with a shower and double vanity, a comfortable indoor seating area, a minibar, a hairdryer, complimentary Wi-Fi, and an outdoor patio complete with comfortable deck chairs, a couch, and spectacular views of the bushveld below.

The family suite includes two cottages connected by a protected walkway. The family suite can accommodate up to two adults and two children, with a third child on request.

The camp facilities include an open-air lounge, dining and bar area with a central fireplace, a swimming pool with loungers, laundry services, and babysitting services.

Activities offered at the camp include game drives conducted in open safari vehicles led by professional guides, night game drives that provide opportunities to see the rare nocturnal species of the African bush, and guided bush walks that allow for up-close encounters with the fauna, flora, and smaller wondrous creatures. Guests can also visit an authentic Maasai village to learn more about the fascinating Masai people or enjoy in-room massages.
