The Detail
Mala Mala Sable Camp is a smaller, more intimate version of Mala Mala Camp and is ideal for those seeking a more private and secluded safari experience. Mala Mala Sable Camp is situated at the southern end of Mala Mala Camp in a prime elevated position overlooking the Sand River and surrounding bushveld.
Sable Camp can accommodate a maximum of 20 guests in 7 suites – some of which can accommodate 3 guests sharing. It may also be reserved exclusively for between 14 and 20 guests.
Price Includes
- Accommodation, all meals and drinks (excluding premium brands), snacks, and laundry – maximum 10 items per room per day (minimum 2 nights).
- Game drives in open four-wheel-drive safari vehicles conducted by an experienced ranger, nature walks, and transfers to and from the Mala Mala airstrip.

Stay & Pay
Stay four consecutive nights and receive one night complimentary, applied to the lowest-rated night of the stay. The four nights may be split between any of the MalaMala Game Reserve camps, and both arrival and departure must fall within the offer periods of 10 January to 31 March 2027 and 1 November to 15 December 2027. The offer is for new reservations only, is subject to availability, and cannot be combined with any other special or discounted rate.
Honeymoon
Honeymoon couples receive a 50% saving on the accommodation of the lower-paying guest sharing the room, for a minimum of two and a maximum of three consecutive nights; where a stay exceeds three nights, the saving applies to the first three nights only. Travel must take place within twelve months of the marriage date and a valid marriage certificate is required on confirmation, with one room per qualifying celebration. Valid 6 January to 15 May 2027 and 16 October to 20 December 2027, with both arrival and departure falling within the period; accommodation only, and only one exclusive offer may be claimed per booking.

Photographic Vehicle Mounts
MalaMala Sable Camp offers photographic vehicle mounts as a supplementary, bookable add-on to standard game-drive vehicles. Guests can hire one or more mounts per day at a fixed daily rate per mount, allowing them to stabilise long lenses or cameras on the vehicle during game drives.

Sable Camp does not accept children under 12 in standard bookings — the only way to bring younger children is to reserve the entire camp on an exclusive-use basis. The Lion's Den Suite is a 2-bedroomed interleading suite suited to families when exclusive use applies, and family rooms accommodating a third adult or two children are available on request. Note: the private-vehicle workaround for under-6s on drives applies at sister property MalaMala Camp, NOT at Sable Camp — at Sable, exclusive use is the only route for under-12s. Child rates only apply when sharing with full-paying adults.
