The Detail
Travel to the island includes an approximate 90-minute drive from the spice capital of Stone Town, followed by an exciting 20-minute boat ride across the balmy ocean waters.
Mnemba Island Lodge boasts 10 beachside bandas that overlook a pristine coral reef. Each banda features an en-suite bathroom with a shower, minibar, hairdryer, in-room safe, lounge area, bathrobes, fan, Wi-Fi, and a deck.
Mnemba Island also offers a Family Banda, where two bandas are situated within close proximity to one another and can accommodate a family of four (two adults and two children).
The lodge facilities include a PADI dive school, beach shop, complimentary laundry, and private beachfront salas with a personal bar.
The area is home to the Suni antelope, Ader’s duiker, seasonal turtle hatchlings, dolphins, endemic Indian Ocean species, and rare coconut crabs. Lodge activities include swimming, snorkeling, diving, dhow cruises, birdwatching, fishing, water sports, and walking.

Stay & Pay
Stay 10 nights and pay for only 8, with the two complimentary nights applied to the final two nights of the stay. The offer is available for travel from 1 November to 20 December 2026, and again from 11 January to 30 April 2027 and 1 November to 20 December 2027, with final check-out on 30 April or 20 December. It applies to all room types and may not be combined with any other &Beyond offer or with long-stay rates, though additional nights may be added at the applicable long-stay rate.
Long stay
Reduced long-stay rates apply to stays of four or five nights, with a further reduction for stays of six nights or more; the six-night tier is not available for travel from June to September. Long-stay rates may also be applied across a combination of &Beyond lodges in Africa for the same guests on a single itinerary, subject to seasonal availability, and cannot be used in conjunction with any other &Beyond offer. A three-night stay on the island can also be booked as the Fly Me to the Beach package, which includes a one-way flight between Arusha, Manyara or Nairobi and Zanzibar, fast track meet-and-greet at Zanzibar International Airport and shared return transfers to the island; it is available only as an extension to an African safari at an &Beyond lodge in Tanzania or Kenya, may not be combined with other offers or long-stay rates, and excludes the infrastructure tax and conservation levy.
Family
Children aged 0 to 5 sharing with one or two adults stay free of charge, and children aged 6 to 16 sharing with one or two adults pay 50 per cent of the adult rate, subject to cot and triple room availability. Where children aged 6 to 16 occupy their own room, the first child pays the adult rate and the second and third pay 50 per cent. These child rates do not apply to the Family Banda, and the island can accommodate a maximum of two children under 12 years in house at any one time.

One partner pays the full accommodation rate while the other partner pays 50% of the accommodation rate for the entire stay. The discount is based on the 1–3-night rate. Valid for travel within 6 months of the date of marriage, with a marriage certificate required. A minimum 2-night stay applies. Not combinable with other offers or Long Stay rates.

Mnemba Island can accommodate a maximum of 2 children under 12 years of age in-house at any given time, and travel to Zanzibar is recommended for children eight years or older. Diving instruction is excluded for guests under the age of 12 (and for adults without a PADI certificate). A private vehicle (paid) allows children of any age on game drives, at the guide's discretion; boating activities may require forward planning due to boat availability. For the "Fly me to the Beach" offer, child sharing rates apply only to children 6–16; children 5 and younger do not qualify and are quoted at normal rates. A single supplement applies when an adult shares with an infant under 6.
