The Detail

Travel to the island includes an approximate 90-minute drive from the spice capital of Stone Town, followed by an exciting 20-minute boat ride across the balmy ocean waters.

Mnemba Island Lodge boasts 10 beachside bandas that overlook a pristine coral reef. Each banda features an en-suite bathroom with a shower, minibar, hairdryer, in-room safe, lounge area, bathrobes, fan, Wi-Fi, and a deck.

Mnemba Island also offers a Family Banda, where two bandas are situated within close proximity to one another and can accommodate a family of four (two adults and two children).

The lodge facilities include a PADI dive school, beach shop, complimentary laundry, and private beachfront salas with a personal bar.

The area is home to the Suni antelope, Ader’s duiker, seasonal turtle hatchlings, dolphins, endemic Indian Ocean species, and rare coconut crabs. Lodge activities include swimming, snorkeling, diving, dhow cruises, birdwatching, fishing, water sports, and walking.
