As one of the first concessions to be officially incorporated into the exclusive greater Kruger National Park, it enjoys otherwise unheard of traversing rights to this spectacular area. Ngala is the Shangaan word for "lion", and is the name given to this romantic safari lodge which is located within an area that is renowned for regular sightings of black and white rhino, elephant, buffalo, wild dog, and buck. Ngala is a serene holiday destination, colonial in style with its soft-lit ambiance in the evenings, bold wooden finishings, courtyards and thatched bomas under which dinner is served - these are some of the touches that give Ngala its rich character.

Ngala Safari Lodge boasts twenty thatched Cottages, each complete with an en-suite bathroom, air-conditioning and private veranda. The cottages have floor-to-ceiling glass windows, making the most of the sunny safari days.

The three Family Cottages consist of two suites that are conveniently interlinked via a door for easy access and can accommodate two adults and two children. 

The luxury Family Suite has its own en-suite bathroom, viewing deck, a personal pool and exclusive use of a safari vehicle. 

The lodge offers guests early morning and late afternoon Big Five game drives, interpretive bush walk as well as tracking and photographic safaris.
