Stay & Pay
Stay four consecutive nights across the MalaMala camps and one night is complimentary, applied to the lowest rated night. The offer is valid for stays from 1 November to 15 December 2026, and again from 10 January to 31 March 2027 and from 1 November to 15 December 2027, with both arrival and departure falling within the applicable window. It is available on new reservations only, subject to availability and blackout dates, applies to accommodation only, and cannot be combined with South African resident rates or any other offer or discounted rate unless agreed in writing.
Honeymoon
Honeymoon couples receive a 50 per cent saving on the accommodation of the lower-paying partner sharing the room, for a maximum of three nights; any further nights are charged at the applicable published rate. Travel must take place within twelve months of the marriage date and a valid marriage certificate is required on confirmation, with a minimum of two consecutive nights and one room per celebration. Valid for stays from 6 January to 15 May 2027 and from 16 October to 20 December 2027, with both arrival and departure within the window; new reservations only, subject to availability and blackout dates, applicable to accommodation only, and only one exclusive offer may be claimed per booking. A comparable 50 per cent saving on the first two nights applies to milestone wedding anniversaries (10th, 20th, 25th, 30th, 40th, 50th or 60th) when travelling within six months either side of the anniversary date, on the same terms.
Last minute
South African passport, identity document holders and permanent residents may book a reduced resident rate when reserving 21 days or less before arrival, valid for stays until 15 December 2026. Proof of residency is required on booking, a copy of identification on arrival and a completed indemnity form at least 72 hours before arrival, with full payment due within 48 hours of reserving. These rates cannot be combined with any other special or offer, including the complimentary fourth-night offer.

Photographic Vehicle Mounts
MalaMala Rattray's Camp offers photographic vehicle mounts as a chargeable supplementary service on safari vehicles. Guests can add mounts per vehicle per day to enhance their wildlife photography on game drives.

Rattray's Camp's minimum age of 16 is waived only on exclusive-use bookings of the whole camp, where the minimum drops to 12. No family unit, kids' programme, or babysitting is offered at Rattray's (those facilities exist at sister properties MalaMala Camp and Sable Camp but explicitly exclude Rattray's). Private safari vehicles are bookable at additional cost (approx. R 7,850 per empty seat per day), but are not used as a child-access workaround at Rattray's under standard bookings.

"Jolene was simply extraordinary. She put together what became an absolutely incredible African trip for us in the space of barely three weeks, and from the outset her responsiveness, knowledge and genuine enthusiasm were exceptional. Nothing was ever too much trouble, responses were almost immediate, and she very quickly understood exactly what we were looking for, our expectations and the way we like to travel. More than simply being an expert at what she does, Jolene genuinely cared about making the trip special for us, and that came through in every aspect of her planning. What particularly impressed us was the flexibility with which she brought everything together. We already had some of our own arrangements in place, including international flights and staying with friends in Cape Town, but Jolene seamlessly incorporated those into the overall itinerary and still organised all the surrounding logistics and transfers. The safari component she designed was outstanding, taking us through Kruger, Victoria Falls, Chobe and the Okavango Delta, before finishing in Cape Town and the Stellenbosch wine region. Every part flowed beautifully and the lodges, experiences and logistics were exceptional. Just as importantly, Jolene stayed in contact throughout the trip at all the key moments, which made travelling so much easier. She would check us in for our internal flights and send through the boarding passes, confirm transfers the day before each pick-up, and make sure everything was in place before we ever had to think about it. That attention to detail, and the fact that she was always one step ahead, removed so much of the usual travel stress and allowed us simply to enjoy the trip. It was genuinely the trip of a lifetime, put together in an extraordinarily short timeframe, and Jolene deserves enormous credit for making it all happen. We could not recommend her highly enough."
