One of the coolest hotels I've been to when visiting Africa. I highly recommend it for families and couples. Very cool safaris and organized activities. Rooms were beautiful and characteristic and food and spa services were at high level .

We had always wanted to visit the Kruger and in particular the private Sabi Sands reserve, for many years we had heard of Sabi Sabi group's renowned Earth Lodge and were given the option of the Bush Lodge which we booked for November 2014 and this lodge suited us perfectly. We flew into the Skukuza private airport from Johannesburg, a very small and superbly maintained little airport and were met by our game ranger Pravir. We arrived at the Bush Lodge shortly therafter and were welcomed by the manager and other staff. The Bush Lodge is nicely spread out and the rooms are extremely spacious with huge bathrooms with indoor and outdoor showers. I enjoyed the Nespresso coffee in my room. The breakfast buffet had a fair variety and high tea at 4pm was an absolute delight. Dinners with our game ranger and fellow guests, under the stars with a central fireplace, gave us a real sense of bush comaraderie. The 'Ele-Fun' kids club was a treat for our 6 year old daughter and the teachers and carers carried out fun little projects with our daughter which she thoroughly enjoyed.Having had many safari experiences, we were very lucky to have encountered a Leopard and her cub on our very first game drive, what a priviledge! Over the next few days we had encounters with all sorts of animals, birds and reptiles with our very knowledgeable game ranger Pravir. The night game drives were a lot of fun and for safety, game rangers walk guests to their rooms after dark.Right from the professional handling of our reservation from the head office to the lodge itself, our experience at the lodge was very memorable and comfortable. We would highly recommend this lodge for a wonderful family friendly experience.

We stayed at Bush Lodge in August for five days with our teenage daughters. I was nervous having booked for five nights in just one place, but it was brilliant. We were paired with a lovely German couple who were also there for five nights. They were as passionate as us about the wildlife, like us, not missing one of the 11 safari outings! After seeing the Big 5 in under 24 hours, we were all happy to spend hours watching a leopard and her cub, following a pack of wild dogs with their cubs, seeing a leopard steal the wild dog's kill or watching a three day elephant get to grips with its trunk! We were so engrossed that we voluntarily missed some sundowner drinks! Our tracker, Heavy was amazing and had a lovely rapport with our ranger/guide Steve. They were a great combination. Heavy was fantastic at finding the animals and Steve, who was so enthusiastic, had a brilliant eye for a great camera shot. Our rooms were lovely and all the staff were friendly. Don't think that it's health and safety gone mad when they insist on walking you to your room.-we saw a huge hyena in the grounds and a leopard was also spotted while we were there! We went in the British school summer holidays-August. It was cold in the morning and evening-take coats, fleeces, hats and gloves putting on and taking off as necessary! The afternoons were warm enough to sunbathe, although the pool was too cold to swim in. It was a great time to go as there is little greenery, so you get a really good view of the animals. I was worried about the dust as I wear contact lenses, but it wasn't a problem. We went on the village tour, my teenage daughters loved cuddling the children in the school and having their 'fortune' told! Although expensive, as it was all-inclusive, down to insect repellant, the rooms were lovely and there were two fantastic safaris a day, we thought it was really good value. We have memories and photos which will last a lifetime.

A holiday we will remember for the excellent accommodation/ service/ smiling people/ amazing daily safaris/ knowledgeable guide and tracker/ great (and abundant) food and everyone always willing to go the extra step to ensure the stay was fulfilling. We have agreed as a small group from three widely different global postcodes to return for a re-union in 2015. While out on night safari we saw three satellites as the sky was so clear. Big thanks to all the staff but especially Francois/ Zulu and Evidence for really making it special. They made the decision to return very easy. (BTW New Years Eve was quite a night........)

Went here for my first visit to Africa and my first safari. It was amazing. The morning and afternoon safari rides were great. The driver and tracker were so accommodating and even made sure we tromped around the bush to catch a glimpse of a giraffe! The rooms were amazing and we even had an outdoor shower. So cool! Would love to go back and take my mother here!

We spent 3 nights at Bush Lodge and had the most incredible experience for our first African Safari. The lodge is beautiful, rooms were very comfortable and every little detail was taken care of, the hot water bottles to warm the beds at night were much appreciated. The staff did everything they could to make sure every need was met, the food was delicious and plentiful, everyone made us feel so welcome. The game drives and bush walks were exciting with our own very knowledgeable ranger who had so much patience for the seemingly never ending questions of our 2 children, they and we all learnt a lot about the animals, birds and plants that we saw. One of many highlights for me was a leopard with her 4 month old cub, a very special treat to be able to watch them on their morning stroll from a few meters away. I can't wait to go back!

I decided to surprise my husband for his 50th Birthday at Sabi Sabi Bush Lodge. We were treated like royalty. The Staff were so super organised, professioal and efficient and by the time we left the next day, we felt as though we had made new friends. The Rangers knowledge was exceptional and he made a fuss of all creatures great and small. The food was outstanding and the ambience perfect. A great THANK YOU to Carien who did our booking. She was a complete star. To everyone concerned, thanks for making my husband's special night a memorable one

Spending 40 years in the travel…
Spending 40 years in the travel industry and taking several Safari to Kenya, my wife and I reached out to Dolan at Safari.com to help plan our S. African Safari to Kruger. Dolan handled all aspects of the planning including transfers to and from airport, plane reservations and lodging at the 5-star Leopard Hills lodge. With just a couple of emails he made the planning seamless. every aspect was on-time, and all responses were very timely. We can't wait to go back and would highly recommend Dolan at Safari.com

Unorgettable trip in South Africa
We have spent 12 days as a family in South Africa with my 3 children and my wife who is in a wheelchair. Thanks to Pascal, Safari.com consultant, we were able to spend an unforgettable moment with a great program while being well accompanied despite our constraints. I recommand particularly the "Monwana game lodge" for a safari in Hoedspruit. It's an amazing place with very nice people and a real family atmosphere. Thank you to the entire Safari.com team for this unforgettable trip.

Cape Town miracle
I was in Cape Town, South Africa recently for an athletic competition and had allowed myself a week of personal time to relax and properly conclude the trip, but had not bothered to plan a safari to occupy the time. I was skeptical of the cost and whether I would enjoy the experience, however a couple days into that final week it occurred to me, in a bit of a panic attack, what a waste it would be not to take advantage of this opportunity. I hopped online and started looking at flights to Johannesburg (almost all the safaris in SA start there with an early morning pick up), but it was basically impossible to get a flight early enough and/or to coordinate with the multiple safaris operating in or just outside of Kruger. With no apparent options available to turn my remaining 4 1/2 days into even a 3 day safari I stumbled on the most obvious website one could imagine, Safari.com. I'd completely given up negotiating all the variables on my own but here was a safari travel agent that might be able to help me .. and they were based right out of Cape Town, literally a stones throw from my lodgings. Serendipity, or so i hoped. I immediately sent out an email and crossed my fingers .. for roughly an hour and a half, at which point Dolan from Safari.com responded to me requesting I give him a call so that we could expedite potential arrangements. My in country phone plan wasn't able to make calls, but we arranged for him to call me and not 3 hours after being in the grip of despair Dolan got through to me and far from notifying me of how absurd it was to hold out hope for a literally, last minute safari adventure with barely 4 days available to me, he had already worked out all the details I'd sent and created a preliminary safari trip that would bypass Johannesburg airport for a flight the next morning to a closer, much, much smaller airport where I would be picked up taken, not to a 3 day safari, but a full 4 day safari, then back to the tiny, tiny airport for a return flight to Cape Town with 2 hours to spare for my return leg all the way home. It almost feels like an afterthought, after the minor miracle Dolan was able to conjure up, but the safari itself at Simbavati Lodge was just an absolutely stunning experience. The single "tent" he booked me was as luxurious as any 4 star hotel I've stayed in, the game drives, one every morning, one every evening were more amazing than I could have ever imagined, and the food, 3 meals a day with snacks and an open bar was sublime. I could go on about the wonderful staff, or the wonderful other safari goers you can meet and grab a drink with, or the different animals walking through the open lodge facilities daily .. but I've gone on long enough. I'll simply conclude by saying .. safari, absolutely, yes, do it, it is amazing. And when you do decide, Safari.com will do you right and if you have the pleasure of working with Dolan, do give him my thanks .. the entire experience was the best part of my trip :)

A great company
What to say! We planned a South African Safari for 2020 with Safari.com. We researched companies and took a chance on one we had never heard of before. Henry Franklin was our agent, we gave him our budget and wish list. He came up with a wonderful looking trip and we made our choices! Then came Covid, preventing us from going. We couldn’t have been in better hands. Henry rebooked everything for the next year. He kept us updated on how things looked there. When in 2021, we decided it still looked iffy, he rebooked us a second time for 2022. We couldn’t have been happier with the service we had in a rough time for all. We had a wonderful experience on our trip when we finally got to go!! Henry had everything so well organized and gave us a detailed list of what transfer companies would be meeting us and when. When Airlink bumped us and put us on standby returning from Victoria Falls, we called the concierge number Henry had given us and Catherine worked hard on this and got us back on our flight. The Safari.com team had our back and we have no regrets. Would definitely use them again. Our lodging was wonderful, saw the big 5 within first 2 drives. Henry definitely knew the territory and did a great job matching what we wanted with where he suggested we go and stay. Thanks Safari.com, Henry and Catherine!

Superior service, knowledgeable, transparent, amazing can-do attitude
These guys get 10/10. I have booked with them a few times. To Kruger National Park, including both public and private(concession) camps, flights and car hire. Their senior agent, Dolan is exceptional. Nothing is too much trouble. Attention to detail, transparency, and 'can-do' attitude are out of the ordinary. I recently came into contact with Tanya at safari.com as well. It looks like all their agents are similarly well trained. Thank you. I cannot recommend Dolan and his team highly enough.
