Singita Pamushana Lodge is a place of sublime beauty and the game reserve in which it sits boasts a stunning diversity of flora and fauna. Sitting on top of a hill overlooking a reservoir and, beyond it, the vast expanse that is Africa, the location of the accommodation and restaurant is spectacular. The accommodation is superb and every single member of Jason's team work diligently to provide a level of customer service of the highest quality. The food is, thoughtfully prepared and delicious, whether it's breakfast, lunch, High Tea or dinner. The wine cellar is excellent and each evening we were offered different varieties to try from some of South Africa's finest vineyards.Of course, the real reason to visit somewhere like this is to experience Africa and it's astonishing ecosystem. Our guides Fortune and Tengwe (such was the size of our party that we had two) displayed a fantastic knowledge, together with charm, humour and a willingness to do everything they possibly could to make our experience unforgettable. We were lucky enough to register sightings of all of the Big Five, plus much more. We even spotted a Leopard through the telescope in the villa, relaxing by the reservoir. This place is a gem. I hope I will be lucky enough to be able to visit it again one day.

I was fortunate to visit Pamushana Lodge with 5 friends for 4 nights in late September 2014. We were very lucky to have Mark as our guide and within 2 days spotted the Big 5! I have to say the most memorable was the sunset cruises on the river, drinking spirits and observing the wildlife on the banks. We saw a rare Black Rhino there and many Hippos and Crocks and beautiful birds. The service and attention from the staff at the Lodge was magical. Attention to detail was impressive. It was hot enough for us to enjoy the main pool and our our private pools as well. We all had a great experience at Singita Pamushana Lodge.

If you are looking for a trip of a lifetime, you must go to Africa. I have technically been to Southern Africa twice, once to Zambia and once to Zimbabwe. I recommend Zimbabwe simply because it has cats in its parks and Zambia does not. And there is nothing cooler than being 10 feet from a lion We stayed at the Pamushana Lodge for 4 nights. First class service, first class lodge, all-inclusive, amazing food... you can't go wrong. Our daily guides were phenomenal and knew the answer to every question we asked (we tried multiple times to stump them.) One thing to note, you probably only need about 4-5 days here because really all there is to do is go on a safari. But believe me, these don't get boring (you go twice a day). You will see new animals every time you go out!Our highlights were seeing several lions, seeing a cheetah with her baby cubs (and meeting the Discovery Channel photographer who was there following them), being charged by an elephant, having a herd of elephants cross our paths (5 feet away!), experiencing the real wild by coming across a bunch of hyenas feasting on a giraffe... the list could go on! We happened to be there during New Years too and the lodge put on a fantastic feast with local entertainment, which really made us feel a part of the culture.I would 100% recommend visiting the Pamushana Lodge. I hope to go back here someday when I have children because I feel like this is a such a cool experience for people of all ages!

We booked one of the most beautiful…
We booked one of the most beautiful trips we've ever had through Safari.com. The service was excellent and uncomplicated. They catered to special requests, booked additional flights, and the accommodation (Simbavati River Lodge) was simply unbelievably beautiful. Our expectations were far exceeded, and we can only recommend Safari.com. We will definitely book our next vacation through Safari.com and recommend it to our friends. Many thanks, Nelia & Catherine!
