You Should Know
- Children younger than twelve years old cannot be accommodated at Ngala Tented Camp.
- Childminders are available but must be booked on the day of arrival. A rate of ZAR 100 per child per hour is payable at the lodge.

Sophisticated and modern, Ngala Tented Camp features nine intimate and luxurious tented suites, ideal for a small family or group of friends seeking an exclusive retreat. The tents are elevated on platforms and thoughtfully integrated into the riverside trees, ensuring minimal environmental impact. Each suite offers an ensuite bathroom, ceiling fan, air conditioning, outdoor bathtubs and showers, cozy electric blankets for winter, and spacious private wooden decks.

Indulge in a soothing Healing Earth spa treatment in the intimate massage sala, where you can experience a haven of wellness and serenity with a tranquil riverbed as your backdrop. State-of-the-Art River Gym

Sitting Room and Bar

A fully-equipped photographic safari vehicle available at Ngala (covering both Ngala Safari Lodge and Ngala Tented Camp) on Ngala Private Game Reserve. Notable exceptions
- Ngala Tented Camp itself has no dedicated family unit — only sister property Ngala Safari Lodge offers Family Cottages and a Family Villa. Triple rooms accommodate a maximum of 2 adults + 1 child aged 16 or younger. Game drives are standard from age 6 (6–11 at the Lodge Manager's discretion); children of any age may join drives if a Private Vehicle is paid for, with sighting access at the guide's discretion. Nature walks remain strictly 12+. The Ngala Treehouse overnight wilderness experience can be booked in conjunction with a Tented Suite, accommodating a maximum of 2 adults + 2 children aged 10–16 only, on request, with a 25% supplement per child per night; no unaccompanied guests under 18. A single supplement applies when an adult shares with an infant under 6. Babysitting (childminders) available at ZAR 200 per child per hour (2027). ZAR 120 (2026), booked on day of arrival and payable directly to the lodge.

Ngala Treehouse
The Ngala Treehouse is a 4-level overnight wilderness experience booked in conjunction with a cottage or tented suite at either Ngala Safari Lodge or Ngala Tented Camp. It features two sleep areas: level 3 is covered and weatherproofed with a king-size bed, and level 4 is an open sleep-out platform under a retractable awning. Guests enjoy a stocked bar, a starlit picnic dinner, and midnight and breakfast snacks. Maximum occupancy is 2 adults and 2 children (10–16 years, on request). The treehouse is priced per unit per night.
