An overview of Pelican Point Lodge.
At the tip of the Pelican Point Peninsula, is Pelican Point Lodge, situated on a unique stretch of land. This venue that is surrounded by the untouched beaches of the Atlantic Ocean, and the lagoon of Walvis Bay, is dedicated to provide you with unique experiences.
In the most remote location of Namibia’s Skeleton Coast lies Pelican Point Lodge.

The Detail
What once functioned as a harbor control building now stands as a beacon of luxurious accommodation. The transformation has resulted in 10 lavish suites, each exuding its distinct character and modern aesthetic. These are not mere rooms but curated experiences in themselves.
Perched on your private deck at Pelican Point Lodge, you become an audience to nature's grand theater. At sunrise, the stage unfolds with performances both majestic and intimate. Watch the seals playfully surf the waves and leisurely bask in the sun.
In the deeper waters, you will see dolphins slicing through the waves, resembling a synchronized dance with each jump, while the mighty whale makes a guest appearance, showcasing its impressive size.
The lodge offers an array of activities, ensuring that every guest finds something tailored to their interests:

Price Includes
The Dinner, Bed, and Breakfast (DBB) rate includes:
- Accommodation.
- All other extras (lunches, drinks, laundry, activities, etc.) to be settled at the lodge.
The Fully Inclusive (FI) rate includes:
- Accommodation, breakfast, a 3-course lunch, high tea, lounge snacks, and dinner.
- Homemade snacks during sundowner.
- Beverages, water, soft drinks, beers, local spirits, and house wines (excluding premium imported brands and Champagnes).
- All other extras (premium brands, Champagnes, drinks, laundry, extra activities, etc.) to be settled at the lodge.
Complimentary
- Kayaking excursion with the seals.
- Guided peninsula nature drive and guided sunset tour.
- One special dining experience on the beach, weather permitting.
- Complimentary services for both DBB and FI meal plans:
- Escorted arrival and departure for self-driving guests at 15:00.
- Pick-up and drop-off from Walvis Bay Airport for fly-in guests, according to the expected flight arrival time.
- One scheduled boat cruise (round trip) per person per booking on the departure day, weather permitting.
- 24-hour complimentary Wi-Fi.
- All complimentary activities are weather-dependent and may be canceled if the minimum number of participants is not reached.
- 2 nights minimum stay required for travel between 20 December until 6 January

Honeymoon guests can celebrate their commitment with a romantic honeymoon at Pelican Point Lodge. The team will make their stay extra special by adding romantic spoils and surprises. Combo
Guests are encouraged to retreat to Pelican Point Lodge and escape the daily life for a bit longer. When staying a minimum of three paid nights, guests can enjoy a complimentary Sandwich Harbour tour half day. Offer is combinable with the ‘Honeymoon Spoils’ but not with the ‘Stay 4, Pay 3’ offer. How to arrive.
<h3 id="">Self-drive Guests:</h3><p id="">Escorted self-drives with a 4×4 are a complimentary service adding to the guests’ experience of “Destination Pelican Point Lodge – a truly experiential adventure” and allowing an unforgettable self-drive experience through the saltpans and on the unique Pelican Point Peninsula.</p><ul id=""><li id="">A 4×4 vehicle for escorted self-driving is essential. For self-driving guests with a 4×2, pre-arrangements for a pick-up have to be pre-booked upon booking and their vehicle will need to be parked at their own risk.</li><li id="">Un-escorted self-driving to the lodge is not allowed for the conservation of the eco-fragile environment and may jeopardize the safety of the travellers and their vehicles.</li><li id="">Guests must wait at the meeting point for the Lodge-appointed driver to escort them and who will assist in deflating their tyres.</li><li id="">Escorted self-drive is at the driver’s own risk; the drive is through thick sand, assisted by the Lodge’s driver with specific instructions.</li><li id="">Escorted self-drive vehicles must follow the Lodge vehicle in its exact tracks to the lodge.</li><li id="">Guests’ vehicles remain parked at the owner’s risk at the designated parking area at the Lodge for the duration of the guest’s stay.</li><li id="">To preserve the eco-fragile environment guests are not allowed to drive their vehicles on the Peninsula for the duration of their stay.</li></ul><h3 id=""><strong id=""></strong>Meeting Point:</h3><p id="">Coordinates: 22°58’18.86” S, 14°29’14.81” E</p><p id="">A dynamic zoom Google map showing the meeting point and Pelican Point Lodge will be provided upon booking confirmation.</p><h3 id="">Driving from Swakopmund:</h3><p id="">Enter Walvis Bay via B2 road, skip the turnoff to the airport & Dune 7, then take the next exit. Drive straight to the tourist info kiosk then turn right into 5th road. Carry on straight and keep left till the traffic lights then turn left. Drive straight on until exiting Walvis Bay and continue to drive to the meeting point alongside the lagoon on the first parking on your right-hand side. Our guide will be waiting for you and take you on a stunning escorted self-drive to the Lodge.</p><h3 id="">Driving from Sossusvlei:</h3><p id="">Enter Walvis Bay via C14 road, then take the next exit. Drive straight to the tourist info kiosk then turn right into 5th road. Carry on straight and keep left till the traffic lights then turn left. Drive straight on until exiting Walvis Bay and continue to drive to the meeting point alongside the lagoon on the first parking on your right-hand side. Our guide will be waiting for you and take you on a stunning escorted self-drive to the Lodge.</p><h3 id="">Fly-in Guests:</h3><h3 id="">Arrival day:</h3><p id="">Complimentary pick-up at the airport of Walvis Bay on ETA of the flight, subject to pre-booking. Supplements for pick-up at the airports of Swakopmund and Arandis apply as per the rate sheets under ‘other extras’.</p><h3 id="">Departure Day:</h3><p id="">Complimentary drop-off at the airport of Walvis Bay on ETD of the flight, subject to pre-booking. Supplements for drop-off at the airports of Swakopmund and Arandis apply as per the rate sheets under ‘other extras’.</p><p id="">8h00: Checkout formalities</p><p id="">8h30: Complimentary boat cruise (round trip). In the event of bad weather, force majeure or any operational circumstances beyond our control prohibiting the boat cruise, guests will be offered a transfer by 4×4 leaving at 10h30 from the lodge back to the airport. If the ETD of the departure flight is not compatible with the time of arrival of our boat after the round trip, then guests will be taken by 4×4 to the Airport.</p><p id="">10h30: Departure transfer by 4×4 from the Lodge to the airport to arrive in time for the ETD of the flight.<br></p>
