The nearby mountain pass also provides an awesome view of the nearby Cape Vulture colony, and the Waterberg Biosphere Reserve Wilderness experience is also immediately available.
Facilities are mostly located located outside the park, in the town of Thabazimbi, and include a nearby restaurant and shop, filling station and garage, police station, medical facilities, post office, public telephones, "town-car" friendly roads, and electricity available to certain areas of the camp site.
The luxury alternative
If you would rather not self-cater.
We do not take rest camp bookings. What our safari specialists do arrange is South Africa's private reserves: private lodges where expert guiding, meals and game drives are included, and nothing is left to the camp kitchen. We look after international travellers and SADC residents alike, and many lodges offer reduced SADC rates.
