Gannakouriep Wilderness Camp
A SANParks self-catering camp.
Gannakouriep Wilderness Camp is situated in a rocky valley and offers only four cabins giving the feeling of true wilderness. This camp is only accessible by 4x4 vehicle. You can enjoy the tranquillity of the camp and experience the beauty of the unpolluted night sky.
We do not take rest camp bookings. Camps are booked directly with SANParks, where current tariffs are published.

About Gannakouriep Wilderness Camp.
Accommodation
- Two-bed Canvas Cabins each with 2 single beds, en-suite bathroom with toilet and shower. Fridge and geysers are solar powered while the kitchen has a gas stove and all the necessary utensils. There are no plug points and guests are advised to bring their own drinking water and firewood. Each of these cabins havea patio with braai facilities. Access to Gannakouriep is through Sendelingsdrif.
Should problems occur with the lights, paraffin lanterns are available.
A resident caretaker is on site.
Activities & Facilities
Richtersveld Transfrontier National Park offers 4x4 trails, hiking, bird watching activities to all its guests.
There are no facilities at Gannakouriep Wilderness Camp.

We do not take rest camp bookings. What our safari specialists do arrange is South Africa's private reserves: private lodges where expert guiding, meals and game drives are included, and nothing is left to the camp kitchen. We look after international travellers and SADC residents alike, and many lodges offer reduced SADC rates.
