Karoo National Park

A SANParks self-catering camp.

Situated approximately 12km from Beaufort West, close to the N1, even though it is the perfect stop-over for travelers between Cape Town and Johannesburg, it has so much more to offer. This destination faces the beautiful Nuweveld Mountains and is a haven of peace and tranquility, allowing guests to experience the forbidding Karoo environment. The park is now home to approximately 63 species of mammals and over 200 species of birds. The Karoo National Park is also the only national park that includes breakfast for overnight guests staying in self-catering accommodation (excluded for campers)

We do not take rest camp bookings. Camps are booked directly with SANParks, where current tariffs are published.

The luxury alternative

If you would rather not self-cater.

We do not take rest camp bookings. What our safari specialists do arrange is South Africa's private reserves: private lodges where expert guiding, meals and game drives are included, and nothing is left to the camp kitchen. We look after international travellers and SADC residents alike, and many lodges offer reduced SADC rates.
