Will definitely go to Mountain Zebra Park again.
We were well received at reception and our stay in the Guest House was simply world class.
Congratulations to the Parks Board for maintaining this magnificent gem so well.
Will definitely recommend and will be back for sure!
A good idea as a stop over when traveling. Recommend at least a 2 night stay to see all the park has to offer. The unit contained all necessity one requires to make the bush stay enjoyable. Neat & clean. Enjoyed seeing animals not normally seen in other parks. I would visit again.
What a wonderful surprise.
A smallish, compact National Park with the perfect setting! There is something of everything: Hiking possibilities, 4 x 4 trails, a bit of history on Salpeterkoppie with the chess board, an geological wonder world and of course comfortable accommodation and enough wildlife!!!
Lovely accommodation, clean and comfortable.
Everything in good condition.
Service very friendly.
We enjoyed our first visit to this park very much. The cottage was in perfect condition with all facilities available and in good working order. One large plate on the stove did not work and the lower toilet seat was cracked and separated at a glue joint. Next time we want to spend at least two full days there.
We had a very pleasant time At Mount Zebra. The staff, from the gate, to the booking desk, to the chalet cleaning staff were all friendly, courteous
and helpful. A small park ,but definitely worth a return visit.
We enjoyed our stay and found the staff courteous en helpful
This is the third or fourth time we've visited MZNP, and continue to be knocked out by the beauty of the park itself, the friendliness of the staff, and the cleanliness of the Rest Camp and the cabins (where one lacks nothing). We visited one of the picnic sites for the first time, and could fault nothing there either. We saw many more animals than we've seen on previous visits - no lions or cheetahs, but a wide selection of buck, zebra and wildebeest which all looked fat and sleek and in excellent condition. And, of course, a lot of birds. All in all, this is our favourite National Park.
We really enjoyed this Park. The camp site was very good. We felt that the shop could have a better variety of goods as your selection is not as good as the Karoo National Park. The cheetah walk was a highlight on our stay.
The staff were very helpful and friendly. The scenery was magnificent and the facilities good. We'll definitely visit again.
We are always enjoying our visit at Mountain Zebra Camp. It is such a nice and peaceful environment, with lots to see.
Mountain Zebra Park - accommodation was well equipped and neat, everything in working order. The 4x4 rides in the park were great. Animals sighted: lion, leopard, various buck and black eagle. Unfortunately, did not sight rhino. We are photographers and enjoy birds as well as reptiles. We will visit the park again.
Great trip. Boiling water on tap, clean ablutions, friendly knowledgeable staff. Good game viewing.
Good game viewing. A nice get-away.
Everything from our well appointed cottage, friendly and helpful staffand seeing the mountain zebras in the wonderful scenic setting of the park made our visit most enjoyable.
Our party of four had a wonderful three days in Mountain Zebra. The reception we received was outstanding, friendly and helpful and the accommodation was comfortable and convenient. The scenery is awesome and we'll be back !!
We enjoyed the magnificent natural beauty of the park. The early morning guided trip was great and we saw the black rhino and calf at close quarters. The restaurant was very good for both dinner and breakfast. All in all a fantastic short visit. Will make it longer next time. Accommodation was excellent.
The park was excellent but we would like to see better access to water holes.
We had a fabulous 4 nights in the mountain zebra challets - modern, clean and comfortable. The park was the perfect - regular sightings to keep the children interested and beautiful karoo views. A big thanks to the Parks Board for their wonderful park.
We had a wonderful stay at Mountain Zebra we enjoyed the marvellous scenery, the lovely wildlife and the accommodation in the cottage and the friendly efficient service in the restaurant was superb.
It was fabulous. The reception, the cottage, the pool, the game drive with Michael, the animals. Would have liked to have seen more, but its the chance one takes. Saw the ground squirrels. Thank you!!!!
We've just spent a weekend camping at Mt Zebra National Park and we were more than impressed with the park, its facilities and its staff in general. Will definitely return.
Our cottage was very clean, had a lovely view, nice floor plan, well equipped, and was very quiet. We loved it!
We loved our stay with you. Thank you
This was our second visit to the park during 2013 and once again our expectations were not only met, but exceeded! The staff were excellent, as always, very knowledgeable (especially Richard on the night drive and cheetah tracking - AMAZING!), and our overall experience was great. We love the park and hope to return again in April 2014 - thank you to all for the wonderful experience we had!
We stayed there before . The picnick places are very nice with improvements since our last visit. Enjoyed it very much will go there again.
We occupied the guest house in the Mountain Zebra Park. A beautiful old house, a historic treasure with most beautiful furniture and view. The foul stench of sewage in the one bedroom and bathroom was overwhelming and not acceptable. I notified reception about this problem who sent out a "technician" to solve this problem. However the problem was only worsened to such an extent that we could NOT SLEEP in the room due to the foul smell. This being not acceptable for a so called four star venue! What a disappointment!
Just a nice place to be, will go there tomorrow if I could.
Unfortunately we stayed over for one night only, but found all the facilities above average. Could not find fault with the camping site, ablutions and shop. Very sorry we could not stay another night or two as the animals in this park is a bit different to the others parks we have visited. Can definitely recommend this park to other visitors.
Camping was very nice but very hot. We wanted so badly to see a Cheetah and Buffalo, but we could not find any. Swimming place is too far from camping site.

We had some problems with the ablution blocks in Mountain Zebra Park. Ladies side has 2 showers of which 1 was not working, just a tiny trickle of cold water came out of shower head. My husband complained that the urinals on the gents side and at the reception/restaurant stank badly. They also had problems with the electricity tripping at the ablution block, the first night we were there there were no lights at the bathrooms! Staff at reception and restaurant very friendly.
As I said to the efficient and extremely pleasant staff member at the exit gate when we left Mountain Zebra Park, "Well done - ten out of ten - the best SA Nat Park I can remember for many many years" His face lit up with a proud smile.Everything was spot on. The friendly staff. The clean chalet. The perfectly maintained roads. No broken or missing crockery or cutlery. Everything perfect. My suggestion is to get all management at our flag-ship park, The Kruger, which has slipped badly over the years, to visit the Mountain Zebra Park, to see how a National Park can, and should be run. Our stay was an absolute pleasure. Well done to all concerned.
The staff are very professional and helpful, and need to be commended. However, we stayed in unit 6. The unit was clean and well kept, however the unit is in need of being refurbished
It were our first visit to this park, and we were pleasantly surprised by its beauty. A little jewel and should be advertised or promoted more!
The park was great, just something small though. When we arrived at our chalet at 6pm, after travelling for 8 and a half hours, the chalet's electricity had not been switched on for us and so there has no hot water to bath or shower. A bit lousy after a full day of travelling!!
Very comfortable and enjoyable
A beautiful and restful environment for a stopover. We loved the park and the pool. The service was exceptional, and the food was lovely! The room could have been a bit cleaner but perfectly sized and very comfortable.
The staff were extremely helpful, especially Jeannie, the cottage was clean and well equipped, the roads were in very good condition, and all in all it was a most relaxing place to stay on our way back from KZN to Cape Town.
Thanks for an awesome stay!!
The gentleman at the reception on Saturday 29th October approx 11.30am was very pleasant and helpful. The woman who dealt with our check out on Sunday afternoon did not engage with us and I rate poorly in terms of customer service. I would like to see the park facilitate those who wish to leave early in the morning (05h00) as we had a 10hr drive ahead of us. Otherwise the Park is a credit to National Parks.
Wonderful. Rooms adequate and clean. Guide for game drive and tour of bushman paintings was superb. Only small inconvenience was that our unit could have been serviced earlier (before 10am).
My husband and I caravaned the weekend of 22/23rd Oct. The site was well equipped and clean The ablutions were spotless. The whole infrastructure of the Park was well thought out and made for a fantastic holiday. We will definitely be back! Thank you.
Went on 4x4 trail called Umngeni thinking it was a grade 2 but it turned out to be grade 4!All ended fine, really enjoyed it in our Fortuner. Had a good time. Accommodation and park very good standard.
We really enjoyed the 2 nights we stayed with you. The cottage was comfortable and we had everything we needed. The food in the restaurant and the service was very good. We saw a fair amount of game, the roads were good. The swimming pools and picnic areas are well kept. I will definitely return.
This is the second time we have been there, the last being a number of years ago. We were pleasantly surprised to see just how many Zebra there were in the park. The roads are beautifully maintained and our experience was a good one, apart from the weather.
A peaceful weekend away, nice accommodation, friendly service and beautiful vistas.
Most enjoyable stay in clean chalet. Friendly and helpfull staff.

Really enjoyed the Park environment. Camp site and staff - excellent. Facilities well maintained. Thank you.
Our stay was most enjoyable and we will definitely visit the Park again
I last visited Mountain Zebra Park 11 years ago and had forgotten how spectacular the scenery is! I was impressed at how well the roads are being maintained. The Guest House has also been very well maintained and is a very special place to stay in. Game viewing was good too - we saw an aardwolf that I'd never seen before. The Gemsbok are also lovely buck to have in the park. Our visit was very enjoyable and I am recommending the park to friends and colleagues.

Bat eared foxes. Aardwolf.Steenbok.We enjoyed our stay tremendously. One of the most comfortable houses. Loved the lounge & fireplacereally welcome as it was so cold. Many thanks. Lindsay.
All the administrative staff we encountered were Very pleasant and helpful eg Thula who had to drive from the camp to meet us when we arrived from Durban at 8.00pm. The reception (male)at addo when we called to see if we could view the test match there, was also very helpful.

A great and enjoyable visit. Small camp, beautifully maintained Roads greatly improved, Staff friendly and helpful.

Lekker gekuier. Alles was reg, paaie is in goeie toestand. Kan oor niks kla nie.
The Park is very well run and the staff are a pleasure to deal with. 10 out of 10 for effort and smiles. However the lack of heating in the chalet was a serious problem, 6 deg C is no fun. Air conditioning is a must.
The family cottages were clean and neat. All the necessary cutlery and crockery were available. The resort was tidy and I noticed that the area was being upgraded, always a good sign. The food in the restaurant was excellent and the staff were friendly and helpful. Enjoyed the rides through the park and enjoyed the animals. A wonderful place to relax and I would consider a future visit in the summer.

The staff were friendly and efficient, and the cottage was delightful. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and realised that one night is not enough. We will definitely be back, perhaps in the summer. The game drive with Michael was very informative given that the animals had been driven away by the helicopters.
Chalets very comfortable. We understood that there was no wood in the whole area available and would thus have appreciated some form of artificial heating. Otherwise lovely few days in the chalets and in the park
We just returned to SA having spent time working in NZ where we were so so home sick. Enroute to Plet we decided we had to have a game and scenic injection. It was magnificent. The most breathtaking scenery, wonderful game including a mother cheetah and her 3 teenage cubs. Mountain Zebra does not have huge quantities of game so go there to experience everything and you will not be disappointed. The bungalows were clean, well equiped and a lovely fire place for the bitterly cold night. Well managed and wonderful friendly people.
What a lovely experience - staff very helpful, cottage some of best we had visited, park clean and beautiful! Never had feeling of being crowded or over commercialised. We had such an enjoyable time, and we will recommend it to anyone!
Baie aangenaam en pragtig mooi, alles was goed gereel, die staf was baie friendelik en behulpsaam.Sal weer gaan kuier.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!! Very neat and clean, staff friendly and helpful.
It was really a great stay. We love this park. Just a pity that the geyser dripped constantly during the night...It drove me nuts...
We arrived just as a massive cold front arrived in the Eastern Cape. There is no heating facility to warm up the chelt but I guess the cost of electricity would be prohibitive. The wood purchased from the front office was of a very poor quality and burnt away very quickly in the indoor fire place. Try and lay in a stock of proper hard wood (thornwood). Great that the staff had made DSTV available for soccer fans to watch the matches in the conference centre. Regards
We saw jackal and an aardvark. It was lovely

Overall stay OK, but heaters needed in cottages in winter. Wood fires are expensive and tend to make a mess and affect ones eyes and sinuses. 4x4 trails need to be graded as one can easily get into trouble as there is limited cellphone coverage. Balck Eagle walk needs better signage specially at top of first stretch.
The staff were exceptionally helpful. We could see that the cottages had been recently refurbished and were very happy with our accommodation. The beds were very comfortable and the down duvet wonderfully warm. All in all we were very impressed with the park and would go there again.

In my 38 years of marriage this is the first time me and my husband have been in a game reserve. This was unbelievable. The chalets are very nice and cosy. The views and animals are stunning. I found a lot of people just rush through. Drive slower and you will notice more; even smaller animals. We took a flask of coffee and some food on our drive through the park and really enjoyed the days. I would recommend it to anybody. Have already told lots of people who did not even know about the park. Even with the list given we saw more animals. "Duikers", "Likkewaan", Jackals, Vultures, Small apes, a long sort of Earthworm? about a meter and longer. Lots of different birds. Kranskop! what a view.

Before I start, we are also in the accommodation business, so we are a bit critical.Very enjoyable stay overall. Bungalow nicely equipped, site well looked after, braai works well, beds and bedding good. Criticism: the cleaning staff take out all the towels everyday and replaces them in spite of the towels hanging over the towel rails indicating re-use. Staff should be informed about the towel re-use rule! The night run was very good in spite of us not seeing many animals. Did see buffalo though. At least we now know what a spring hate looks like.Restaurant not so good eg. peri-peri chicken still cold in the middle, fillet steak cut through to make it thinner to cook more easily. Did not think it wise to try the fish or calamari! Maybe more 'home cooked' type of meals should be offered eg. a good lamb stew, ox tail, bobotie and a curry instead of a 'fancy' menu. Service also quite slow, but very friendly.Upon leaving, the guard at the gate wanted an 'exit permit' which we did not have. He eventually phoned reception to clear us. We were not offered an exit permit in spite of clearing out with reception on the night before and on the morning of leaving. After all these complaints, we would go back anytime. Thank you for a very enjoyable experience.
Thank you so much for an exceptional stay. My only disappointment was that it was so short. But we'll be back, and I've told my friends about the friendly, courteous, efficient and discreet service displayed by all staff. Our meal at your restaurant was also memorably pleasant. Both the Hors d'
The Cradock Mountain Zebra Park is managed well. We enjoyed our short stay very much, especially the service and meals at the restaurant. Keep up the good work. Many thanks. W. Kramer
