Nyathi Rest Camp
A SANParks self-catering camp.
Set at the base of the majestic Zuurberg Mountain range and surrounded by hills and floodplain, is the exclusive Nyathi Rest Camp - a new addition to the existing accommodations in Addo. The name of the camp means buffalo, which you are sure to see during your stay at Nyathi. Sundowners are a highlight at Nyathi, with the sun setting behind the majestic mountain range and animals drinking from the waterhole just a few metres below.
We do not take rest camp bookings. Camps are booked directly with SANParks, where current tariffs are published.

Accommodation
Two sleeper Cottage is an open plan kitchen (two-plate hob) and basic utensils, fridge and microwave. DStv (limited channels). Two single beds with a bathroom with shower, bath, hand basin and toilet. Braai area, private splash pool and deck with views across the floodplain.
The four-sleeper Guest Cottage features a bedroom with a double bed, second bedroom with two single beds, two en-suite bathrooms.An open plan kitchen (two-plate hob) and basic utensils, fridge and microwave. Lounge, air-conditioning, DStv (limited channels). Braai area, private splash pool and deck with views across the floodplain.
The Family Cottages boast a bedroom with a double bed, two additional bedrooms with two single beds in each, one en-suite bathroom, a second bathroom,

Activities & Facilities
Nyathi offers guests the freedom to explore the park on their own accord, as no activities are offered at this camp. Guest may make use of the activities offered at the main camp or Zuurberg, this is however only applicable between the gate opening and closing hours. No after hours activities are possible
There are no additional facilities at Nyathi. Guests can make use of the shop, fuel station and restaurant at Addo Main camp (between opening and closing hours)

We do not take rest camp bookings. What our safari specialists do arrange is the Eastern Cape's private game reserves: private lodges where expert guiding, meals and game drives are included, and nothing is left to the camp kitchen. We look after international travellers and SADC residents alike, and many lodges offer reduced SADC rates.
