The Detail
Sabi Sabi Earth Lodge’s architecture is a sensory experience, masterfully combining texture, space, and light. The lodge is deeply connected to its natural surroundings, with every detail drawing inspiration from the environment.
The clean lines and natural finishes provide a stunning contrast to the luxurious touches that define Earth Lodge, such as private splash pools for each suite, personalized butler service, opulent bathrooms, exquisite wooden carvings, custom furniture, and an underground wine cellar housing over 6,000 rare wines.
Nature influences every aspect of the lodge's design, from impala horn-shaped table legs to water lily-inspired tabletops and branch-like countertops. Like nature itself, everything at Earth Lodge is in perfect harmony, creating an atmosphere of calm and renewal for guests.
The lodge features 12 ultra-luxurious suites, departing from traditional bush lodge design to offer a blend of elegance, modern style, and luxury. Each suite is equipped with a private pool, a butler, a glass-fronted en-suite bathroom, an outdoor shower, and custom furnishings.
The indoor-outdoor dining area overlooks a waterhole and expansive bush, while the lodge also boasts a library, an underground wine cellar, a Zen garden, and the Amani Spa.

Stay four nights and pay for only three, with one complimentary night applied per qualifying four-night stay. The offer is valid for travel until 28 February 2027, excluding 20 December 2026 to 5 January 2027, and again from 1 March 2027 to 29 February 2028, excluding 20 December 2027 to 5 January 2028. It is not available for group bookings and cannot be combined with any other package; where several Sabi Sabi lodges are booked consecutively, a minimum of four nights is required at each property and the complimentary night applies at the lowest rated lodge.

Earth Lodge is asterisked in the Sabi Sabi rate sheets: children are only permitted when the lodge is taken on an exclusive-use basis with family and/or friends, with rates available on request. The Amber Villa (up to 4, max 6 guests) includes a private safari vehicle, but standard family stays at Earth Lodge itself require full lodge exclusivity rather than a dedicated family suite. Children under 6 are only permitted on safari with an exclusive/private safari vehicle (vehicle exclusivity surcharge R25,000 per vehicle per night; 6 seats at Earth Lodge); older terms allowed children 3–6 on safari with exclusive vehicle use, while the 2027-2028 wording restricts under-6 access more tightly via Luxury Villa bookings at Bush Lodge — Earth Lodge requires lodge exclusivity in all versions. The EleFun Centre kids' programme (ages 4–12) is located at Bush Lodge, not at Earth Lodge. Child Minders can be arranged from R350 per child per hour, paid directly to the minder and booked with reception on arrival. Children 4 and younger are not permitted in the boma for dinner — dinner is served in the Safari Lounge between 17h00–19h00 or as room service. No children under 12 on the environmental walking safari under any arrangement.
