The Detail
Singita Sabora Tented Camp is elevated to offer 360-degree views of the wildlife-abundant plains and the world's largest annual animal migration. Around two million wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles make their way north into Kenya's Masai Mara, passing through the Grumeti and Serengeti reserves.
Sabora offers nine opulent Bedouin canvas tents that feature spacious bedrooms, en-suite bathrooms, antique mahogany travel chests, Persian rugs, traditional Maasai blankets, and various antiques and artifacts. The tents open onto the plains where day beds are scattered, providing perfect spots for relaxation and incredible game viewing.
The lodge facilities include a sparkling swimming pool, spa, gym, lounge with television, boutique and gallery, as well as complimentary Wi-Fi access. Note that due to the remote location of the lodge, internet connectivity can be slow and intermittent.
Activities offered at the lodge include daily morning and afternoon game drives led by professional guides. Afternoon drives extend into the early evening, offering opportunities to spot rare nocturnal species of the African bush. For more adventurous travelers, walking safaris provide close-up encounters with the smaller, wondrous creatures of the bush. Additional activities include stargazing, community visits, swimming, board games, and archery, which can all be arranged.

Travelling with children.
What our safari specialists know about bringing children to Singita Sabora Tented Camp, current as of May 2026. They plan family trips here all the time, so anything below that needs arranging, they will sort. For the bigger picture, see our guide to safari with children .
- Minimum ages
- Stay 10+ · Game drives 10+ · Walking safari 10+
- Child rates
- Infants under 2 stay free. Children 2–16 pay 50% of the adult rate when sharing with one adult or child; a child in their own suite pays the full adult rate. Sabora's rate sheet lists a per-child rate for ages 10–16 (reflecting the camp's minimum age of 10). Wildlife Fee USD 88.50/night per child aged 5–17.
- Family rooms
- No dedicated family unit.
- Care
- Kids' programme · Babysitting available
- Exceptions
-
Sabora Tented Camp enforces a minimum age of 10 for stay, game drives and walking safaris — unlike most other Singita lodges, which welcome children of all ages. Singita's broader private-vehicle policy (families with children under 10 must book a private vehicle; families of four or more including under-10s get a complimentary private vehicle subject to availability) has limited application here because the camp's minimum age is already 10. No dedicated family suite is available at Sabora (9 tents, doubles/twins only); families seeking shared accommodation are directed to family suites, multi-bedroom suites, villas or private-use lodges at other Singita properties. Children's participation in game drives and bush walks remains at the discretion of the dedicated Field Guides.
