Grant Suite

The Grant Suite consists of two luxurious suites, each with a separate en-suite bathroom, a shared spacious lounge, a large deck with a pool, panoramic views of the bush, a mini-bar, and tea/coffee-making facilities. This suite includes a private safari vehicle, guide, and tracker and can accommodate up to four people.

Kingsley Suite

The Kingsley Suite features a large four-poster bed, a lounge area with a fireplace, a dining area, an en-suite bathroom with a freestanding bath and double vanity, indoor and outdoor showers, a deck with panoramic views of the bush, a plunge pool, a mini-bar, and tea/coffee-making facilities.

Livingstone Suite

The Presidential Suite

The Thomas Baines Suite forms part of the Presidential Suite and can either be used as part of the lodge or as an exclusive accommodation option. Accommodating up to four people, the Baines Presidential Suite is the perfect safari home for families or two couples. Fully catered, the suite includes its own private game viewing vehicle, complete with a ranger and tracker, as well as the services of a butler and chef.

Tintswalo Manor House

The fully catered Tintswalo Manor House is an exclusive-use villa with four double or twin en-suite rooms and an additional adjoining room suitable for two children. With accommodation for a maximum of ten people, Tintswalo Manor House offers families and small groups an idyllic four-star safari getaway.

Discover Manyeleti Game Reserve

Manyeleti Game Reserve is situated between the Timbavati Private Reserve, the Kruger National Park, and the Sabi Sands Game Reserve. It is home to the Big Five and a variety of other wildlife, including cheetahs, hyenas, wild dogs, leopards, side-striped jackals, and black-backed jackals. Antelope species such as kudu, giraffe, impala, duiker, klipspringer, steenbok, bushbuck, and nyala can also be found. Additional species include elephants, wildebeest, zebras, white rhinos, waterbucks, warthogs, and large herds of buffalo.

Activities

Twice daily game drives in open safari vehicles are conducted by professional guides. The vehicles are well-stocked with comforts, including blankets for colder mornings and night drives, refreshments, snacks, and supplies such as ponchos, insect repellent, and sunscreen.

Trackers, sourced locally from the native Shangaan communities, offer insights into fascinating traditions and customs. These trackers possess exceptional skills in tracking animals by observing spoor and subtle signs of movement in the bushveld.

Additional activities at the lodge or nearby include game walks, stargazing, birding, the Hoedspruit cheetah research project, Manyeleti community trips, panoramic tours, hot air ballooning, the Moholoholo animal rehabilitation center, Hoedspruit town tours, Jessica the Hippo interactions, and elephant encounters and rides.

  • No children under 12 are permitted at the Main Lodge or Tree Houses.
  • Children over 8 years old are allowed in the Grant Suite; however, meals will be served in the suite.
  • Children of all ages are welcome at the Presidential Suite and the Manor House.
  • Children may join game drives at the guide's discretion, depending on the child’s interaction level with wild game.

Explorer Suites: children 9+ welcome; ages 9–11 require a private safari vehicle; ages 9–15 charged 50% of Explorer Suite sharing rate. Grant Suite: children 9+; under 16 must share with an adult; additional children 9–15 at 50%. Presidential Suite, Manor and Exclusive Use: all ages welcome; under 5 free; under 16 must share with an adult; additional children 6–15 charged 50% of Explorer Suite sharing rate.

Notable exceptions

  • Minimum age varies by suite type: Explorer Suites and Grant Suite accept children 9+ only; Presidential Suite, Tintswalo Manor and Exclusive Use bookings accept children of all ages.
