Overview

The Okavango Delta, a vast inland river delta in northern Botswana, is famous for its grassy plains that flood seasonally, becoming a rich habitat for wildlife. The Moremi Game Reserve, which occupies the east and central areas of the delta, is renowned for dugout canoe safaris where you can glide past hippos, elephants, and crocodiles. On dry land, the region is home to African Bush Elephant, African Buffalo, Hippopotamus, Lechwe, Lion, Cheetah, Leopard, Brown Hyena, Spotted Hyena, Greater Kudu, Black Rhinoceros, White Rhinoceros, and more. The Okavango Delta also supports over 500 species of birds and 85 species of fish, including Tigerfish, Tilapia, and Catfish.

Moremi Crossing is set on a small palm-fringed island, overlooking the legendary Chiefs Island and bordering the Moremi Game Reserve. The camp offers a classic Delta experience, blending luxury with the raw beauty of the wilderness. You will spend two days exploring the area and enjoy a range of Delta activities including mokoro excursions, guided game walks, and sunset cruises.

Your journey continues to Pom Pom Island, a private concession in the heart of the Okavango Delta. Itinerary

Day 1 - 2: Maun to Moremi Crossing

Your journey begins with a 20-minute flight from Maun to Moremi Crossing, offering breathtaking views of the Okavango Delta. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to the camp. In the afternoon, choose from a range of activities including a mokoro trip, a game walk, or a sunset cruise.

On your second day, enjoy both morning and afternoon activities. You can choose from a mokoro trip, a guided game walk, or a motorboat cruise. The mokoro excursion comes with a delightful surprise brunch served on one of the Delta islands.

Day 3 - 4: Moremi Crossing to Rra Dinare Camp

After a morning activity and breakfast, you will be transferred to the airstrip for a scenic 20-minute flight deeper into the heart of the Okavango Delta to Rra Dinare Camp. Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted and escorted to the camp for check-in. Over the next two days, explore the diverse landscape on game drives, mokoro trips, night drives, and motorboat cruises, immersing yourself in the wilderness.

Day 5: Rra Dinare Camp to Maun

After your final morning activity and breakfast, you’ll transfer to the airstrip for another scenic flight back to Maun, bidding farewell to the magical Okavango Delta as you make your journey home.
