You Should Know

Child Policy

Children of all ages are welcome at Ulusaba Cliff Lodge. Children aged 0–11 can stay for free if traveling between 2 January and 21 December 2018, provided they share a room with their parents.

Children must always be accompanied by their parents.

Children under the age of 6 are not permitted on game drives, and children younger than 12 are not allowed on bush walks.

A children's program and child-minding services are available.

Cliff Lodge features two private and exclusive luxury suites situated close to the main house lodge and surrounded by the stunning African bushveld. Guests can enjoy breathtaking views, spacious and airy rooms, luxury amenities, and exceptional hospitality at this beautiful retreat.

Lodge One

Lodge One accommodates three adults and two children. It includes en-suite bathrooms, a bar, a fireplace, a separate kitchen, and a private dining area. Additional amenities include a DVD player, television with a selection of DVDs, and a Nintendo Wii. Guests can also enjoy a beautiful outdoor deck, swimming pool, and braai (barbecue) area, as well as a small spa and gym.

Lodge Two

Lodge Two accommodates two adults and two children. It features an en-suite bathroom, a DVD player, a television with a selection of DVDs, a fireplace, and binoculars.

Facilities at Ulusaba Rock Lodge include a full gym, an outdoor pool, tennis courts, the Aroma Boma beauty treatment center, organized children's activities, and private dinners upon request. Additional offerings include babysitting services, tribal dancing exhibitions, laundry services, board games, a selection of lodge binoculars, DVD, video, music, and book libraries, conference facilities, animal presentations, a curio shop, and VIP getaway amenities.

Weddings and conferences can also be hosted at Rock Lodge.

Guests at Cliff Lodge can participate in twice-daily safari game drives led by experienced and knowledgeable bush guides who are eager to answer any questions.

For the adventurous, a guided bush walk offers close-up encounters with the diverse flora and fauna of the area. Other optional activities include exploring the scenic Panorama Route, taking a helicopter flight over the bush, and experiencing authentic Shangaan culture with a visit to the local villages surrounding the Sabi Sand Game Reserve.

The Sabi Sand Private Game Reserve is located on the western border of the Kruger National Park. Covering 65,000 hectares, it is famous for some of the best wildlife viewing opportunities in Africa. The reserve shares a 50-kilometer unfenced border with the Kruger, enabling animals to move freely between the two areas. The Sabi Sand Game Reserve comprises several private reserves, all providing an exclusive and luxurious experience in an untouched wilderness setting. Unlike the Kruger National Park, the Sabi Sand is private and offers a more exclusive experience to its guests.

The reserve boasts dense wildlife populations, including over 330 plant species, 45 fish species, 30 amphibian species, 110 reptile species, 500 bird species, and 145 mammal species. Sabi Sand is home to the Big Five and is among the best places globally to observe the elusive leopard in its natural habitat.
