"We had a great time in Kruger Park. The tents were clean and had a nice "safari" feel to them. The staff was very accommodating and kind. And the surrounding scenery was breathtaking beautiful. There were even hippos wading in the back beyond the pool area. If your looking for a fun safari experience would definitely recommend this place!"

"Nkambeni Tented Lodge is great accommodation choice when visiting Kruger National Park with your loved one. Superb hospitality of the most friendly personell turned our stay into truly unforgettable experience. We will definitely get back there soon!"

"The Nkambeni Tented Lodge is a couple of kms outside the Numbi Gate to Kruger which makes it extremely easy to enjoy all that Kruger has to offer. There is a lovely main Lodge where all meals are served. The tents are dotted around the property so try to get as close to the Lodge as possible - otherwise it's a long walk in the dark after dinner. The tents are air conditioned but otherwise fairly basic. There's an outside shower which is fabulous on a hot South African night. No wi-fi in the tents, but it's available up at the Lodge (the first 30 minutes are free) where you can sit back and enjoy a drink while checking emails."

"The place is really good. The rooms are clean and spacious. They have rooms with ac and mosquito nets to ensure you are comfortable in Kruger National Park. The room in which I stayed had attached bathroom with both options- closed and open. The setup is really nice. Their reception/dining area is really good and relaxing. They have a swimming pool too. They offer free wifi for 20 mins at the reception. There is also a small shop there in case you want to buy souvenirs."

"The tents are not what germans would call tents. These tents have a massive wooden backbone a private wooden tereasse, a private bathroom and really nice outdoor showers. + From the terasse of our "tent" we had a direct view to the Kruger park. 10 m away and only a fence in between elefants and bufalows were pasing by. You can watch hippos from the restaurant terasse and go swimming in the big pool. Even though the camp is situated in the Kruger Park it is outside the Numbi gate."

"My first safari holiday and I was very pleased with everything. Nkambeni Safari Camp is not one of the very luxurious camps but it is very clean and comfortable with a friendly atmosphere, helpful staff, good food, and excellent rangers. By the 2nd drive, we had seen all the Big Five plus many, many more. A very short drive to Numbi Gate into Kruger National Park with no queuing and almost instant entry. Many animals spotted, even on the way to the gate. The hippos that 'live' in the lake next to the hotel swimming pool are great to watch and we also saw elephants, impala and kudu from the camp and heard a lion close by (all behind the electrified fence). Great place to stay and a great holiday."

"Absolutely wonderful and a genuine bargain at the price. The air-conditioned tents are clean and well equipped, the view from the veranda is magnificent and the staff are beyond friendly and helpful. The buffet dinner and buffet breakfasts are well presented and absolutely delicious. A small pub and smoking area at one end of the veranda overlooking the watering hole (with resident hippos) is the perfect place to unwind and relax after a days drive in the Kruger Park."

"Stayed here recently for the second time. Being a "local" in the area, its always great to see tour groups enjoying their "African safari" experience. Accommodation is in permanent tents - comfortable stay. Be prepared to hear everything around you - ranging from the hyena, lions, hippo to the trains passing in the night. We were bothered by mosquitoes so remember to take own repellent with you. Food in traditional African style. Be sure to book your stay dinner in the boma at night which is such a treat for tourists."

"We stayed at Nkambeni for 4 nights in January 2015. We had a great time; service was great. This is not a "first class" type resort; its a value-for-money, child-friendly, more-than-good-enough place to use as a base for your Kruger safari."

"The Nkambeni Tented camp is adjoining the world famous Kruger National Park in South Africa and provides an excellent stop over for a couple of nights to enjoy game viewing in the open land cruisers. It is a little spread out and is what could be called "rustic" in its surroundings, but the meals and facilities are first rate. If taking an open game drive, make sure you pack plenty of warm weather insulated clothing as the early mornings are fresh. Kruger offers a variety of game, and you could see the BIG 5 if you are fortunate."

"My partner and I are seasoned safari travelers but this time we brought my daughter and my niece, who had never been to Africa. We had 4 magical days of great weather, great game viewing, including such rare sightings as wild dogs, African wild cats and civets. Dennis, Dillon, Amos and the entire crew looked after us in impeccable style and bent over backwards to accommodate our every wish. The girls loved every minute and hated to get in the car for the ride to the airport. While not the most luxurious safari one can have, it is great value for money and a fabulous experience which we would recommend to anyone."
