Haak-en-Steek Rest Camp
A SANParks self-catering camp.
The Rustic Haak-en-Steek Cottage is tucked away, private, and offers exceptional views of the waterhole in this unique park with a variety of endangered species like roan, sable, and tsessebe antelope on the open plains and hills.
We do not take rest camp bookings. Camps are booked directly with SANParks, where current tariffs are published.

Accommodaiton
- Four-bed Rustic Cottage has one bedroom with double bed and an en-suite bathroom and two single beds in a room. A bathroom with toilet and shower, fully equipped kitchen with gas over & stove, gas fridge/freezer, utensils, cutlery and crockery. The outside braai area in a lapa. This unit has no electricity or air-conditioning.
Motswedi campsites are in close proximity and would be ideal for larger groups to book both the house and the campsites
Activities & Facilities
At Mosu Lodge there is a sparkling swimming pool which my be used by guest staging at Haak-en-Steek. Excursions to view ancient rock art painting and engravings. Stofberg Bird-hide is a birders dream. Picnic areas at Matopi and Kameeldoring both with braai facilities and ablutions blocks.

If you would rather not self-cater.
We do not take rest camp bookings. What our safari specialists do arrange is South Africa's private reserves: private lodges where expert guiding, meals and game drives are included, and nothing is left to the camp kitchen. We look after international travellers and SADC residents alike, and many lodges offer reduced SADC rates.
