Motswedi Camp Site (CK6)
A SANParks self-catering camp.
Escape beyond contentment beneath the unforgettable glimmer of the Northern Cape skies at Mokala National Park. The Motswedi camping site is unique in that each site has its own ablutions and cooking area. All the sites have been placed in a semi-circle around a nearby water hole. The camp has an electrified fence on the perimeter for the safety of the guests.
We do not take rest camp bookings. Camps are booked directly with SANParks, where current tariffs are published.

Accommodation
- There are 6 Camp Sites, with no electricity. The electrified fencing is powered by solar energy. Each site has a bathroom with shower abd basin with a solar geyser and a separate toilet. The open fronted kitchen area has a a built in breakfast/prep nook, washing area, two plate gas burner and a gas fridge/freeezer The camping areas a demarcated. An electrified fence (knee height), solar powered to keep the buffalo out, surrounds the camping site.
Sites are arranged in a half moon, around the watering hole.
Activities & Facilities
Game viewing is done in your own vehicle, at your own time and speed. At Mosu Lodge there is a sparkling swimming pool which my be used by guest staying at Motswedi. Excursions to view ancient rock art painting and engravings. Stofberg Bird-hide is a birders dream. Picnic areas at Matopi and Kameeldoring both with braai facilities and ablutions blocks.

We do not take rest camp bookings. What our safari specialists do arrange is South Africa's private reserves: private lodges where expert guiding, meals and game drives are included, and nothing is left to the camp kitchen. We look after international travellers and SADC residents alike, and many lodges offer reduced SADC rates.
