Located in a private concession of the world-renowned Kruger National Park, Shishangeni Lodge provides an uncrowded and unique safari experience. The Kruger National Park is one of the top reserves in Africa with two million hectares of pristine wilderness and home to the famous Big Five.
• Children under the age of 16 years are welcome at Shishangeni Main Lodge. • Children 0–5 years will stay free of charge when sharing with parents (2 children sharing per bedroom with 2 adults, subject to the availability of rooms). • Children 6–11 years will pay 50% less than the per-person adult sharing rates when sharing with 2 adults. • Children 12 years and older will be charged the full adult rate.
• Please note that children under the age of 6 years will not be permitted on game drives. • Children aged 6–11 years are permitted on game drives at the sole discretion of management.
Shishangeni Private Lodge boasts 22 individual chalets that are well-appointed with ensuite bathrooms, outdoor showers, fireplaces, air conditioning, and a private game-viewing deck. Inter-leading rooms are available for families on request.
The lodge facilities include a swimming pool, indoor dining area, outdoor dining area, a spacious wooden viewing deck, and a rejuvenating spa.
The Kruger National Park is one of Africa’s largest game reserves, spanning 19,485 square kilometers of wilderness. Mountains, bush plains, and tropical forests form the landscape and are inhabited by 148 mammal species, including the Big 5: lions, leopards, rhinos, elephants, and buffalo. The Kruger is a birdwatcher's paradise, with over 500 bird species recorded.
Enjoy early morning or late afternoon game drives in search of the Big 5 with an experienced guide. In the evenings, dine beneath a canopy of stars and share your stories while sitting around the roaring boma fire.
