Gharagab Wilderness Camp
A SANParks self-catering camp.
Travel north from Nossob in the direction of Unions End and you will find the 4x4 one-way loop that takes you to Gharagab, this one-way loop is only for guests who are staying at Gharagab. Check-in is at Nossob and the last stop for fuel and any last-minute shop purchases. Purposefully constructed to blend in naturally with this surrounding sand dune and thorn veld environment is the styled Gharagab wilderness camp, a removed destination of rustic charm and panoramic viewing, perfect for relaxing and soaking in the expansive desert atmosphere.
We do not take rest camp bookings. Camps are booked directly with SANParks, where current tariffs are published.

Accommodation
Access roads are strictly for the use of its residents only and guests are to supply their own charcoal or firewood and water. There are only 4 Log Cabins at Gharagab
The camp is not fenced and there is a Camp Attendant on duty at all times. (consider taking some cooldrink etc for the camp attendant, he is far from home.
- Two-bed Log Cabins is elevated above the dune and has 2 single beds, bathroom with toilet and showe, a fully equipped kitchen with a gas fridge-freezer. Gas is used for hot water and solar for lighting. A braai area on the deck.
Activities & Facilities
There are limited driving opportunities around this camp. This camp is a haven of peace and quiet, allowing you to sit back and watch game coming and going to the waterhole below. You also have the opportunity to relax on a viewing platform which allows you to appreciate the enormous expanse of the region.There are NO convenience facilities at this camp such as fuel, or shop

We do not take rest camp bookings. What our safari specialists do arrange is the private Kalahari reserves: private lodges where expert guiding, meals and game drives are included, and nothing is left to the camp kitchen. We look after international travellers and SADC residents alike, and many lodges offer reduced SADC rates.
