Kalahari Tented Camp
A SANParks self-catering camp.
Close to the western boundary of the park, only 3km from Mata Mata you will find Kalahari Tented Camp. Perched on the red sand dunes, overlooking the dry Auob river bed. The Desert Tents are built using wood and canvas blending the colours into the Kalahari landscape. This camp is unfenced, each unit has an enclosed carport. The best is spending time on your deck overlooking the waterhole, at the swimming pool, or dry river bed.
We do not take rest camp bookings. Camps are booked directly with SANParks, where current tariffs are published.

The luxury alternative
If you would rather not self-cater.
We do not take rest camp bookings. What our safari specialists do arrange is the private Kalahari reserves: private lodges where expert guiding, meals and game drives are included, and nothing is left to the camp kitchen. We look after international travellers and SADC residents alike, and many lodges offer reduced SADC rates.
