In the midst of striking prehistoric settlements on the Matjulu Spruit, Berg-en-Dal camp has been built with care and preservation for the surrounding area - original San rock paintings still clearly visible from the hill shelters along the Bushman trail. The camp is flanked on the north and south by dry riverbeds and a dam, respectively, and trees alongside both, adding to the authentic wildlife ambiance enjoyed by guests. Berg en Dal camp is great for families as it is one of the rest camps with the most family cottages in the Kruger National Park.
• Tent and caravan sites have an electricity point. Communal ablutions and communal kitchen facilities are provided. Each camp site may host up to six people.
For tent and caravan sites, you need to provide your own tent and camping equipment, caravan or motor home. Some campsites allow for a tent only or caravan only, while others do allow for both. Please check your documentation to be sure that the correct type of campsite has been selected for your needs.
• Three-bed Bungalows, all with air conditioning and en-suite bathrooms (only showers, no baths). Perimeter views from the kitchenettes are optional and need to be requested in advance, if available. All kitchenettes are standard with a hotplate, fridge and sink. Includes an outdoor braai/barbeque area.
• Six-bed Family Cottages are also offered, (two of them being wheelchair accessible). The air conditioned rooms have one double bed, two single beds and two bench beds/single sleeper couches in the lounge area. Each cottage has a private bathroom, a fully equipped open-plan kitchen, lounge area, as well as an outdoor braai/barbeque area.
• The two Guest Houses occupy prime positions on the grounds. The kitchens are fully equipped with a microwave oven. Both Guest Houses have air conditioning. TVs are fitted with limited DSTV access. The J Le Roux Guest House has three bedrooms, each for 2 guests. The Rhino Guest House has four bedrooms, each for 2 guests.
Berg-en-Dal Camp offers adventure in the form of guided bush walks and safari game drives, all under the supervision of well informed and keen professional field guides. Important to note - children under the age of six years old are not permitted on the safari game vehicles and children under the age of twelve year old are restricted from guided bush walks.
The Rhino perimeter trail camp walk is accessible to the blind with its Braille facilities, as well as being wheelchair accessible. Seasonal children’s educational programmes, nightly wildlife films and an eco-display in the reception all round-off this holistic holiday experience.
Facilities at the camp include information at the reception area, public telephones, a post box, restaurant, cafeteria, shop, an internet cafe, laundromat, filling station, communal kitchens and bathrooms, basic on-site first-aid assistance, auditorium and conference facilities, a day visitor picnic area in the camp and a swimming pool (available to overnight residents only).

Shann was beyond amazing
Shann was beyond amazing. Listened to our needs, communicated super-efficiently and gave really honest excellent advice. She was so patient, kind and professional. The time difference across the globe made no difference. I am so excited for the itinerary she has put together. I usually cobble my own itinerary together for our holidays and it’s so time consuming and hard work. This was a piece of cake! Thank you Shann.

Great planning and service
Great planning and service, and everything worked like clockwork. We booked an Inyari Lodge safari with air with Safari.com. it wasn't clear if there will be 2 or three of us, so with Candis' help we booked a family chalet for 2 and added the third later when it was confirmed he can come. Candis put us on flights that maximized our game drive time (unlike some of the other guests) so we got all 6 drives in 3 nights. The lodge was great. Especially the game drives. We saw more than we hoped for. Additionally, Safari.com's insurance was very competitive. Highly recommended.

Fantastic travel agent for African safari family trip!
Wow! Shann was and is fantastic! She figured out a way to make our entire trip work. We are going on a 2 week trip to South Africa and Botswana. She really helped tie it all together as a wonderful, cohesive trip. She is super nice and super smart and very knowledgeable. She is also flexible and thoughtful, etc., etc. When the chips were down (and we literally were considering pulling the plug on the whole trip), she found a way to make the entire itinerary work and got us excited about our wonderful adventure! Highly recommend!
