Day 1: Arrival in the Okavango Delta

Upon arriving in Maun, you'll embark on a scenic charter flight to Vumbura Airstrip, offering a bird’s-eye view of the stunning Okavango Delta. From Vumbura, enjoy an exhilarating helicopter transfer that whisks you to Karangoma Lodge, where you’ll check into a luxurious suite. In the afternoon, take time to relax at the lodge or choose a short sunset game drive to begin your wildlife adventure.

The day concludes with a magical welcome dinner beneath the stars, setting the tone for the days ahead.

Day 2: Okavango Delta – Water and Land Safari

Start your day with a peaceful mokoro safari, gliding through the Delta’s serene waterways in a traditional canoe. Afterward, enjoy a bush breakfast at a scenic location.

In the afternoon, venture out on a game drive to explore the rich diversity of the Okavango’s wildlife. As the day ends, unwind with sundowners by the water, followed by a delicious dinner back at the lodge.

Day 3: Full-Day Safari in the Okavango Delta

Prepare for a full day of exploration as you head out on an extended game drive through the Okavango Delta. A picnic lunch will keep you energized as you search for iconic wildlife such as elephants, lions, leopards, and vibrant bird species.

After an exciting day in the wild, return to the lodge for a hearty bush dinner, surrounded by the sounds of nature and the warmth of a campfire.

Day 4: From Karangoma to Camp Hwange

After a final morning game drive or a guided walking safari, bid farewell to Karangoma as you take a helicopter ride back to Vumbura Airstrip. From there, you’ll catch a flight to Zimbabwe, followed by a road transfer to Camp Hwange.

Once you arrive and check into your thatched chalet, enjoy a brief introductory game drive or a leisurely nature walk around the camp. End the day with dinner and stories around the fire, soaking in the atmosphere of the African bush.

Day 5: Game Drives in Hwange National Park

An early morning game drive offers the chance to witness Hwange’s famed elephant herds and predator activity as the park awakens. After a bush breakfast, relax until the afternoon game drive, where you’ll venture deeper into the park’s remote areas.

Sundowners will be served at a scenic spot, and you’ll return to camp for another delightful dinner under the African sky.

Day 6: Bush Walks and Birdwatching

This day focuses on more intimate encounters with nature, starting with a guided walking safari to observe Hwange’s flora and smaller wildlife species. In the afternoon, embark on a birdwatching session led by expert guides, allowing you to appreciate the park’s impressive avian diversity.

Dinner will once again be served under a starlit sky, offering a peaceful end to the day.

Day 7: Final Day at Camp Hwange

Your last full day in Hwange offers the chance for one more game drive or walking safari in the morning. In the afternoon, you may opt to visit a local wildlife conservation project, gaining insight into efforts to protect the park’s precious ecosystem.

A farewell dinner will provide a moment to reflect on your incredible safari experience.

Day 8: Hwange to Victoria Falls

Depart Camp Hwange with a road transfer to Shumba Airstrip, where you’ll catch a flight to Victoria Falls. Upon arrival, explore the breathtaking falls and enjoy optional activities such as a sunset river cruise or a visit to the local markets.

This brings your safari to a memorable conclusion, with the option of spending a final night at Victoria Falls before heading home.
