Itinerary

Day 1: Johannesburg to Shishangeni Lodge

Your journey begins with a scheduled flight from Johannesburg to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport (Flights beginning/ending in Cape Town are available at a surcharge). On landing, you will be warmly greeted for a private transfer to Shishangeni Lodge in the famous Kruger National Park – roughly 1h55 min drive away – where you will spend the following two nights. Shishangeni is one of 7 luxury concessions inside the actual Kruger National Park and enjoys the same level of spectacular wildlife viewing with additional privileges and exclusivity such as off-road game viewing.

Settle into your room, luxuriously equipped with an en-suite bathroom, an outside shower, fireplace, and a timber deck.

In the afternoon you will head out with your guide and tracker for a game drive through the reserve in search of wildlife including the Big 5. Expect an uninterrupted game-viewing experience in an untouched African wilderness. Arrive back at the lodge in time to freshen up before enjoying a sumptuous dinner.

Day 2: Kruger National Park Game Drives & Relaxation

An early morning wake up call starts the day, followed by a freshly brewed cup of tea or coffee and rusks before setting off on a morning game drive.

The cooler morning temperatures mean that the game in the reserve is often more active, and the softer light makes for incredible photographs. The world-renowned Kruger National Park offers a wildlife experience that ranks with the best in Africa and is best known for the 'Big Five' - capture the moment of a pride of lions stalking their prey or possibly watching a buffalo or elephant strolling to a waterhole.

Relaxation can be spent lazing around the pool or indulging in one of the many spa treatments which is done in the comfort of your room.

Later in the afternoon, you will head out on your afternoon game drive, which may continue beyond dusk, and return back to the lodge to enjoy dinner and some reminiscing about the day’s sightings.

Day 3: Departure

After one final game drive and a warm heartening breakfast, you bid farewell to the African bush as you transfer back to the airport in time to catch your flight back to Johannesburg's OR Tambo Airport. Here, you will connect with your onward travel arrangements.
