NICKY CHAPMAN

magarietha

Great camp.

Linkie Staegemann

Fantastic!!

Danie Verster

Our cottage was spacious and comfortable. The maid service was very good. The microwave unit worked but we never found out how to operate it easily and never managed to operate the oven, some instructions are needed.

Frederick COOK

No complaints beautiful camp and staff unfortunately we had to cut short due to burst pipe at home + was being flooded.

DAPHNE RAATH

Facilities including the rondawel clean and well kept. Restaurant run by Mugg and Bean excellent.

Terry O Kelly

Best camp in Park. Best M&B (atmosphere) in Park.

JOHAN ROELOFSE

It was wonderful....Great value for money....The service outstanding. Unfortunately had to leave a day early to get back to Hermanus.

Bill Harling

After an absence of 20 years, Letaba Camp is still as wonderful as ever. So calm and peaceful with all the wonderful huge trees, and welcoming little bushbucks, squirrels and vervets. The beds/mattresses have been upgraded (5*). It is still beautifully kept. For me the one slight blur is Mugg and Bean - they are excellent for breakfast, but I miss the more traditional South African dinner menu.

Auriol Langen

Amazing

Elvene C

Letaba rest camp is great value for money. The camp is neat and clean, but the whole place could do with a revamp. Still looks the same as it did 30 years ago. The museum and the restaurant are lovely

tracy tillett

Best of the main camps

Elizabeth Caselton

The service throughout was excellent and very friendly.

Johan van Rensburg

First time staying at Letaba and it was wonderful.Situated overlooking a bend in the Letaba River the view is amazing. On arrival we had lunch at the M&B there which was a very nice experience (like all M&Bs;) - more memorable because there were elephants grazing in the mostly dry river bed.The camp is very well run and check in was fast and efficient. The accommodation was very nice and clean with an amazing view over the river bed. From here you could see all sorts of game from elephant to hyena coming and going. There are bushbuck living inside the camp which is nice to wake up to.There is also a very interesting Elephant Museum in the park.Overall: Letaba should be on everyone's itinerary.

PETER MCGINLEY

'n Aangename ervaring. Geriewe en staanplekke skoon en gerieflik. Dit was net teleurstellend dat daar nie plek vir nog 'n nag was nie, terwyl daar duidelik nog plak was.

Jana Niemann

very good I will return in 2016.

GERHARD BOSHOFF

I had a very good time and plan to return in 2016.

GERHARD BOSHOFF

very neat, beautiful, friendly service!

Qume Bezuidenhout

We were welcomed warmly at Phalaborwa gate and were processed in less than 10 minutes. At Letaba rest camp the experience was the same. The camp site was just what we wanted and fulfilled all of our requirements. The whole holiday was most enjoyable for all of us we will go again when we can.

Malcolm Orchard

Very good, clean, had a lovely stay. Thank you very much.

Frieder Du Toit

It was a fantastic stay.

Brilliant Mnisi

Very clean, shop staff extremely friendly, one of the better camps I have stayed at. The duty manager also did his rounds to find out if we were happy. This camp offers so much for the children.

Nicky Chapman

Bungalow was a little cramped but adequate for our needs. Letaba Camp made up for the extreme heat by being one of the leafiest camps with ample shade.

Mark Lockwood

DI NOSWORTHY

As always Letaba was a real haven. The staff throughout the park were very friendly, helpful and professional.Thank you. I took my grandson of 3yrs 8mths to the park for the first time in his life. It was only the two of us and I truly believe that this is an experience he will remember for ever.

MADELEIN ACKERMANN

All was perfect for us.

Jargen Grüneberg

We loved our stay at Letaba. The rondavel bungalow was comfortable and well-equipped. The two-bedroomed cottage that our guests stayed in was to be recommended, they loved it - an excellent view, spacious and comfortable rooms. Perfect for a full week's holiday!

ARTHUR MESSARIS

Clean and well maintained.

Peter Best

Very good campsites, but many do not have good shade, so suggest early check in to secure good sites. Ablutions excellent.

Pat Redman

My Wife enjoys very much the tented accommodation. We enjoyed the one that we had right by the fence all was good for our two days stay.

bostwick david

It was a life time experience.

Gerhardus Jacobus Rudolph Landsberg

We always love Letaba which is the Park's most scenic / beautiful camp. We found all up to the normal standards and, even though we changed our booking at the last minute, were pleased that all the admin was handled very efficiently.

Excellent camp, great game sightings, wonderful time had.

This camp was also very comfortable, staff friendly and extremely helpful. The ablution facilities were spotless and the camp sites clean with enough electrical power points. The camp shop was also very well stocked and staff helpful. We also had wonderful game viewings from this camp.

Neil Lane

Best holiday of the year. Just a pity the time went by so fast. KNP will surely see us again.

Kerneels Eloff

Was very impressed. Great view. Comfortable accommodations. First time staying at the camp, but certainly not the last...

Gerhard Swart

I travel through Kruger twice a year and this was my first stay in Letaba. We entered Kruger through the Giryondu gate and managed to get a full days searching for a animals done. The accommodation and park experience never disappoint and I'll be back in October when I bring another team from the uk to work on our projects in Mozambique.

STEVE THOMAS

We enjoyed our stay at Letaba very much. The camp is well run, the restaurant good and the game viewing was great. It is also one of the prettier camps in the Kruger being on the Letaba River.

Priscilla Hofmeyr

We spent 4 nights at Letaba rest camp in Kruger Park and loved it. The camp is very well run and the facilities are good. It is beautifully situated above the Letaba River which enables one to see game and wonderful birds without leaving the camp. The restaurant was good too.

Priscilla Hofmeyr

Unit 101, excellent & good value for money. The only problem was that there was no hot water in one of the en suite showers.

Michael Schwartz

Everything was very neat and clean. Staff very friendly and helpfull and professional. First time stayover in the Kruger. NOT the last time.

Grobler Leon

Fantastic holiday - all went very well. Will definitely do it again - very soon.

Heidi Diedericks

Firstly thanks for all your trouble with a perfect booking. Letaba was a wonderful experience.

Hannatjie Doorduin

Will be back again. That says it all!!!!

Andre Zoutendyk

5 Star ACCOMMODATION excellent meals served at M & B with friendly Staff Cottage well equipped and clean. Best views to the River. QUIET surrounded by trees and plenty of feathered friends. Evening braai's with the sound of Lions and Hyenas . From our cottage we spotted Elephant, Hippo, Crocodiles, Kudu, Lions, Baboons , Waterbuck, (Bushbuck roaming among us) Giraffe, African Fish Eagle. Highlight was a drive towards Satara and spotting a Leopard with cubs and Rhino. Well done to the Management and Staff for sustaining and maintaining the KNPark 5 STAR!!!

Hester De Bruyn

5 Star accommodation, quiet, best views of Olifants River, where we could spot Lions, Hippos, Elephants, Crocodiles, Kudus, Buffalo's,Waterbuck, Fish Eagles and plenty of birds. If you sit at the river with patience long enough you will spot most K N P Game. Delicious meals at Mugg and Bean with exellent views of the river! Highlight was driving towards Satara and seeing couple of Rhinos and most exciting was seeing a Leopard with her cubs. We are capable of having breaks to any part of the world, however, the Kruger National Park, is still the number one destination for all our family. Well done to the Management and Staff for their endeavours to keep the KNPark 5 Star!!!

Hester De bruyn

Very Happy to see that the park in itself is well maintained. Good child hood memories of the Kruger Park all came back on our visit. We love the Krugerpark.Booking system is very good and was very easy to make the booking. Not to Happy about Mugg & Bean Restaurants at most camps. Looks beautiful but takes a bit away the authenticity of the Kruger Park - in the middle of the bush, seeing a M&B feels almost feels like you at the Zoo or Melville or so.We miss the famous buffalo pie & gravy which was always a hit.Never the less, we will return to the park soon.Well done!!

Coenraad De Bod

It is always nice to stay at Letaba camp - the changes made to the tents are great.

anna-marie

We were happy with the clean safari tent and the ablution block / bathrooms. The camp overall was also clean and in good condition

Kobus van Eeden

Very good and enjoyed very much - would like totry the equipped tent

Fritz Peens

Well once again KP didn't disappoint, as usual the camp staff were friendly as ever, clean and neat at all times. We have stayed at Shingwezi,Letaba,Punda our next visit will be to Satara or even maybe back to Letaba as it is nice and central. There is nothing bad to say at all our experiences we have are always good from the time we get there to the time we leave, just wish we could have stayed longer. We had family with us from Dubai and they have never been to the Park and were really amazed at the park. Thanks again and cant wait to be back.

lindy solomon

Lovely camp site, clean ablutions, shop fully stocked & Restuarant with a stunning view over Letaba river.

ATHENA

Thank you for an excellent visit to the Kruger Park and Letaba camp is one of the best campsites.

Elmarie Lubbe

Very nice to stay

Johan de Haan

Dankie Kruger.com dat julle vir ons daai spesifieke rondawel gekry het. Reg op die wal van die rivier. Wat n ondervinding!

George Tait

Not bad accommodation, bit small and not much workspace, extra towels were provided efficiently but we also needed an extra chair. My kids complained of too many thorns, but that's the bush! Excellent swimming pool and the accommodation was very well serviced

Russ Stroud

Most enjoyable!

Diane Robertson

This was the best camp we thought. Everyone was very friendly and was just amazing experience

MARIIUS PIETERSEN

It is a great camp. personnel very professional & friendly. We will be back.Regards Lelanie

Lelanie Prinsloo

Good experience.

KEVIN BERGH

Good friendly service. Thanks.

Peter Smal

Ingo Plucinski

/We enjoyed a comfortable night at Letaba and all facilities were adequate although not really luxurious. We loved seeing the antelope around the camp and found the economy of the restaurant very agreeable.

Stella Petersen

The camp was amazing and we had a wonderful stay. The safari was minimal but just what we needed. I want to stay in this camp again.

Hilda De La Rose

Good - see you next year.

AC de Klerk

Loved our stay at Letaba. Guest Cottage was lovely. I have only compliments.

Noeline Bonner

Good amenities nice people.

M Field

Coveninent location and goog facilities. Make sure you get one of the upgraded bungalows

Eirik Nordheim

Bungalow was lovely, clean and in a quiet area at Letaba Restcamp. With Mugg and Bean restaurants now in all the camps has been absolutely devine, lovely to sit in the restaurant overlooking the beautiful view of the rivers, especially after a long game drive- a huge improvement. You do South Africa proud, thank you.

Charmaine

Letaba rest camp was beautiful. The bungalow had everything we needed and was spotless. The only negative was that the ranger's dogs barked through the night and thus we couldn't hear any animal noises... We will definetly visit the camp again. Maybe just further away from the staff accomodation next time.

Carine Marx

We really had an awesome time in the Kruger National Park. We were lucky to see the a lot of animals including the big five. The tuck shop's staff were helpful and friendly at all the camps. The restrooms at all the camps were also neat and clean. The stay at Letaba camp was also very nice. Room service was great - the only thing we really would have appreciated was for the room service to wash the dishes and put it back in the cupboards - they only washed it and then left it on the dry rack. We also completed the "quick fix" note indicating that the stove is tripping the electricity. The note was taken by room service but no one attended to the complaint - so we could only use one stove plate during our stay. Nevertheless - we enjoyed our stay and will visit the Park again.

Annelene Joubert

Basic but neat, very helpful staff at reception.

Ettienne

It was the 1st night my son and I were sleeping over in kruger park. We (my family, friends and I) usually do a day visit, and since our other home is in phalaborwa, 15 minutes drive to phalaborwa gate. From now on I want to sleep over since it was such a memorable experience. My room was clean with all the necessary utensils. My son enjoyed the breakfast at the Mug&Bean; restaurant and lunch at Debonairs pizza.

Sello Setagane

Locks for outside cupboards would be better.(monkeys)

MICHAEL ALTMANN

Very Peaceful and Good facility Maintenance

Clynton

We had a wonderful time. the service and restaurant was good. the bungalow, while really nice could do with a bit of fixing and better cleaning. the fridge has not been cleaned out in a while and the crockery etc not that clean. the curtains were coming off the rails.

LYN DELISSEN

Cannot fault the service or the accommodation.

MARINA ENGELBRECHT

Enjoyed the stay, as usual.

Mike Kilner

Very nice and clean, enjoyed it very much.

R Janse Van Rensburg

The camp and room was exceptional. We enjoyed every moment. Very comfortable and quiet.

Lizette

Our stay at Letaba was memorable. My overseas guests will return with positive comments, about the staff, cleanliness, and service. Thanks so much Jennifer lewis.

Jennifer Lewis

We had a good accommodation, everything was alright. We enjoyed our stay in the Letaba Rest Camp. Our bungalow was nice, there was a good restaurant. We hope to come back.

Iris Berghausen

the hospitality we received was supa and the camp is so beautiful and I did enjoy every moment I spend including our night drive. Next time I visit I want to book at the camp were lions are not far because I will love to see one.

Candis

Dear madam ,sir, Me and husband really enjoyed our trip in the park, and it is a first time that we saw the big amount of game. Unfortunately we didn't see the cat families. I just wish to tel you where we needed any assistance everyone was very friendly and helped us. Thankyou for a lovely time in the park. Mrs RE Venter

Mrs RE Venter

Loved it

Monique Venter

Good morning Eventhing, there is no air-cons in the safari tents it was the best stay in nature that you can get I will rate and suggest this to anyone..

Inge

We had a very pleasant stay and was impressed with the well equipped and modern interior of the family units. As South Africans the Kruger is a proud national heritage to us all and we were surprised to see a Mug & Bean as the official restaurant in most camps. One would expect a truly authentic South African experience instead.Thank youLiesl

Candis

good.

ANDRE DE LANGE

good

ANDRE DE LANGE

Very nice accommodation - peaceful.

Jannie Marsili

Well organized and clean camp. we enjoyed our stay very much. Lodge was nice and clean. Nice camp to stay in.

WILFRIED LAMPE

A wonderful experience always at the Park. We ran out of warm water on Tuesday the 14th. But it was no stress, it's all part of a bush experience.

GODFREY JAMA

Camp was lovely - on the fence isn't really on the fence. One of nicest camps in Kruger. Love the wildlife in the camp!

Desire Miller

The stay in Letaba was as always very pleasant. The staff friendly and very polite. chalet was absolutely clean.

Sakkie Van De Merwe

We had a wonderful stay at Letaba. Bungalow comfortable and clean.

Marlene Burger

Everything was in order and clean.

Els Nijman

Lovely, quiet, clean camp - will definitely be coming back! Staff is very friendly.

HEIDI VISAGIE

We had a good stay at the bungalow tent, it was only cold at night.

Albert Jan Zielman

Wonderful stay. Friendly and helpful staff. We will come back. Thank you for everything.

Hendrik Stheeman

All over great experience. thank you.

ELNET JANSEN VAN RENSBURG

The bungalows are nicely upgraded and the new Mugg and Bean opened while we where there, the food and the service is excellent. Pity no plugs outside for the microwave and kettle .Love the new upgrades.

Zelda Mathee

Overall, better than expected

Owen Quinton-Smith

We saw a lot of animals. It was only the leopard that we did not see to make the big 5. The camp was neat and we enjoyed the view over the river and the sunsets.

Jacobus Schuch

Friendly and efficient service at restaurant. Good "a la carte" choices. Very good accommodation (although bats flying inside bungalow at night)

Serge SEREX

Letaba was the best kept camp we stayed in, except for a dead bulb in the hut that was not replaced, and the important lock on the door of the cupboard on the stoep were broken. The communal bathrooms were excellent, clean and very well furnished.

GERHARD POOL

It was great

Johan Becker

A very enjoyable stay. Everything was neat and clean.

Ansie Kilian

We really enjoyed our little stay at Letaba. The reception staff were excellent and helpful.

Irma Irma McMAHONIrma McMahon

Letaba as always is a beautiful camp although game is scarce due to mopani forests had a wonderful time enjoyed the pool facilities and especially the friendliness of the staff. Gardens and grass need some work but can imagine that flooding and heavy rains made maintenance difficult.Again thank you for the wonderful experience we will most definitely be visiting again.

Lauritz von Horsten

I was most impressed with the way in which Letaba catered for the elderly. My aunt of 96 managed very well because of the seat and railings in the bathroom. Thank you. The beds were comfortable and we were given almost all the necessities (except a potato peeler). A vast improvement since the last time I went to the Kruger Park. The only real issue was the trickle of water in the shower.

Miki Lawrence

We enjoyed it so much,we decided in future to rather stay in the park than at the lodges or hotels we have stayed at that you find around the park. It was cleaner for one. The atmosphere is nicer and more relaxed. The food were great.

Nerine Woolley

We loved this chalet. It was a last minute change to this as it was realised we could not get to Olifants Camp in time before the gates closed. Kudos to the Cape Town team for helping me out with this.

Karen Getzel

We Found Letaba Camp to be clean and well maintained, bungalos were basic , but comfortable.

LES HARPER

Very nice rest camp. Neat and clean

Franca Tavares

Had a lovely campsite next to the fence - enjoyed seeing the hyena

GAYE HITGE

The Safari Tent was out of this world. Everything we needed and more. We had a fantastic time and our kids loved every minute!!

Margeaux Engelbrecht

Disappointed in chalet.....only 2 x saucepans, no toaster, very limited culinary equipment. Price comparison this is not good. We go often and stay at different camps & Bushveld camps. For R950pn this not value. Not acceptable. The Park and everything else is great. This was our 2nd visit to the park this year and we have 2 more coming June and October. But NOT at Letaba.

Kate McCarthy

Restuarant over priced for us locals.

Joe Barclay

Great accommodation, well worth a three night stay.

Brian Dedman

the only problems we had was through your offices in cape town with the booking. The rest was very pleasant.

BARBARA SLIEP

Nice to stay over - restaurant perfectly situated to overlook riverbed. Lucky for us Kingston Holgate and his crew gathered at the restaurant the morning for breakfast. Bought Kudu lelie and Impala lelie from the little nursery which was very nice.

Ansie Prinsloo

We were very disappointed with the restaurants. one can't even just buy a pie at the shop or a normal toasted sandwich except at Mopani, where we were very impressed with the restaurant and the service. that was great.

Tracy Rossouw

the kitchen could be better equipped. A toaster doesn't cost much but would make a big difference to breakfast time. All the other camps we visited had a toaster and Satara even had a microwave which was fab.

Andrea Jackson

We were very satisfied. We were just horrified at the thorny weeds in the grass everywhere. The children could not play on the grass and the thorns were picked up with our shoes and sticking in all the carpets and in the car. It is a real problem that should be sorted out.

Yvette de Beer

Great experience and surprisingly flexible and friendly reception .

Peter Altherr

Camp is dirty, lovely lawns non existing, thorns on grass all over the place. Bungalow dirty. Will not recommend to friends to go to Letaba. Will prefer other camp

Elbert De Kock

What a beautiful camp. Unfortunately our time around Letaba was not very exciting when it came to viewing game. The rooms were the best by far - very spacious and very well equipped.

Shaun Hansel

Once again, good camp. Only problem, we booked night safari for 7.30 but so had 36 others and the truck only seated 21? Had to wait till 8.45 but by then it was pouring down. I would still heartily recommend you staying IN the park when visiting Kruger rather than day trips. SAN parks are brilliant when it comes to advice and sorted out our itinerary etc.

Martyn Wharrie

Our Stay at Letaba was wonderful just as it always is, the bush babies and bush buck makes the experience just that much special. The only thing that worried me was the bugs in the beds which has never happened to us all the other times that we stayed in the Kruger, otherwise everything else was great. cant wait to visit again.

Ashleigh Homan

Great value!

Mari Venter

Very good. We are pleased to see all the renovations being done in the park. Well done! It is about time.

CHARLENE VAN ASWEGEN

A first but not the last at Letaba camp . A big thanks for Helleen Coetzee at Accommodation Direct for all the help

NICO GERICKE

It was a great 3 days in the park. On one day below Satara on the S100 we saw 2 leopards and a cheetah. The cheetah was trying to run down a kudu. The accommodations were very nice - especially at Letaba. The food at Mopani was excellent. As usual the staff was courteous and helpful throughout the park.

Frank Wey

Hello, unfortunatelly the camps have been worn out already. New linnen/curtains would be great. As well as whole renovation. To expensive. Not a good value for money.

Swetlana Wiens

We had a great time and saw all of the big 5 except Rhino, which is a big worry. Is poaching taking its toll? Overall very good experience although the accommodation and especially the public toilets at the camps we visited while driving through the Park are in need of upgrade. Disappointing to see the poor state of repair and maintenance.

Pieter Keyter

The reception staff was very unhelpful and down right rude, considering that Letaba is just about my favourite camp in the Kruger, after this experience its two thumbs down, very unhappy and it will be some time before I go back!!!

Christo du Plessis

Overall experience was good. I was pulled over by a policeman near the Phalaborwa gate. He said my speed exceeded the posted limit. He asked me where I was from and when I would be returning. I told him I was on my way back now. He said he could issue a citation or I could just pay him a lesser amount in cash. I paid him the lesser amount and believe he "pocketed" the money. No record (citation)was issued. He just shook my hand and wished me a good day. There is likely a bit of corruption happening with law enforcement within the Park.

Steve Wood

I experienced a very enjoyable holiday at Letaba. The team that did the reservation is very professional and on the ball. The camp is lovely and I will recommend it to anyone. However, the Letaba resident game rangers were terrible! There names are Oscar and Cecilia. The two of them have got a terrible attitude, like they are doing the guests a favour by taking us on a game drive as they would rather be doing something else. No information came from them regarding nature, game, etc. For example, we drove past a herd of Zebras, Oscars comment was Zebra, that was it, he did not even stop for us to look at them.I also got the impression that they do not have information to give to the guests. I overheard other guest speaking amongst each other complaining about the same thing, their comment was "the game ranger does not know anything but expects a fat tip!"I have had bush experiences in the past and the game rangers were very pleasant and forthcoming and of course well informed.I recommend for Oscar and Cecilia to be replaced by game rangers that is qualified, have a passion for nature and animals and want to be a game ranger and above all like people.

O Oldewage

I stayed 3 nights at Satara- camping and 2 nights at Letaba. In general we are shocked to see the facilities standard decreasing every year. The ablution blocks are dirty and not looked after, although there are cleaners on site. Is it ok for the cleaners to use the same facility's showers as the paying public? The toilets at Tshokwane were not working for at that stage over a week due to no water and a pump being broken!!! How is it possible that they cannot fix a pump in one day?? They did erect temp. toilets which are very dirty and disgusting. Overseas visitors only shook their heads and said this is Africa! On a positive note, the staff is always and everywhere very friendly and helpful, thanks for that. The animals are great.

ewald van rensburg

Our first stay in Letaba was excellent! Staff friendly and campsite need and tidy, will definitely stay in Letaba again in the future! Just a bit disappointed with the food at the restaurant, not up to standard and waited quite long time to get the food. Also has a RSA resident, I don

Gerrie Eloff

Splendid!

Tina Olivier

We were all surprised with the quality of the safari tent and the luxury it provided - had a wonderful stay! However the bathrooms (especially the roof) could do with a proper cleaning and maintenance.

Yolande Hefer

We enjoyed our self - thank you

gerhard malan

Camp site great, did not enjoy paying conservation fees for the days we spent there, it used to be a once off entry fee. We pay enough money to stay in the camps. No wonder our South Africans do not visit the parks

PINTOM

Excellent

Andre van der walt

Main camps were very clean, staff was very helpfull and well trained. Check in was very easy with professional service. Safari tent was clean and definitely value for money. Ablution blocks were kept in a crisp clean condition. Will definatly be back!!!

Francois Loggenberg

We spent 6 nights and stayed at 4 camps, working our way down from Letaba to Satara to Pretoriuskop and Skukuza. Everything was great but the food...and a slight lack of variety in activities. Staff were mostly very friendly and helpful. Accommodation clean and well kept, even where showing its age. Morning walks are the best! You never know what you might run in to. In our case, an elephant. A frightening and exhilarating memory to last a lifetime for sure. Apparently only one camp does morning bicycle safaris, which was a disappointment to me

Patricia Bush

The facilities at the Guest Cottage at the Camp were adequate. But the bush braai we went on was delightful. We had a lovely game drive with Eric and then were taken to a clearing where we had a lovely meal and the three 'rangers' (including the chef) were very pleasant. I would recommend this.

Lynn Haken

Always love coming to Kruger.

Meloney Nieuwenhuizen

The restraurant service was slow. Breakfast buffett was borderline.

Paul Nienaber

This was by far the best camp of all the other camps we visited and proved to be outstanding in ALL areas of service. From reception to the restaurant, the service station, accommodation, neatness, excellent accommodation.Just superb.

Jan Serfontein

We enjoyed our stay in Letaba however February is very hot in KP and the tents with the fan is not much help. However the rest of the facilities is good and we enjoyed visiting other camps during the day and the restaurant at Letaba in the evenings. It was a great week for me and my son and we will definitely repeat our visit later this year.

Chris Reynecke

Lovely self catering family accommodation in a tranquil surrounding. However, staff should know and advise of road/loop road closures. We enjoyed the elephant hall.

Claudia Sander

We had a lovely time the accommodation was very nice, but we found the camp personnel to be a little unfriendly. We also did a night ride at Lataba Eric was the guide he was not very good and spent most of the time chatting to a lady in the passenger seat. But on the whole we had a great timeKind Regards

Terry Young

Terry Young

The river front cottages are a treat.

Daniela Maurer

We have been to Fish Eagle before but this time we were extremely disappointed to see the state of the roof of the house. It is shocking to see it in such need of repair/maintenance!

Douglas

It was a very nice stay for me, enjoyed it so much plan on coming back later this year.

Elizabeth

Our experience was very good at the two rest camps but we have not found any information that crocodile bridge gate was not available and we had to return to Skukuza/ Paul Kruger gate and run lots of kilometers to return to Mozambique. Very inconvenient

Susana Costa

we had a lovely night here, this is our second time at Tamboti and it was lovely.

kevin Turner

Love the camping grounds and the ablutions were clean and up to standard. Stunning view over the river.

stella van der westhuizen

To whom it may concern,I've been coming to Kruger since I was 8 years old and have to express how disappointed I am in the overall quality of the park. The accommodation is poor. The thatch is old, the smell is musty, there is gecko poo everywhere. The chalets could really do with a refurbishment. It doesn't even look like it's been refurbished since they will built in the 70's!I certainly don't feel Kruger is worth the money anymore. What you get in a private game reserve is much more and it's cheaper!I'm also shocked at having to pay R400 conservation fee for 2 nights just because I'm 'international'. This is just sickening. If I had known I'd be charged this I wouldn't have come at all! The amount of animals in the park has gone down considerably as well. The security of the park is non existent. Why are you not searching cars before letting them into the park. No wonder you are losing more rhino to poachers! I really hope these issues are addressed somehow and you get this message across to people who actually care about conservation let alone customer service..Other than my above complaints I was received well by your staff at Letaba camp and they were very helpful. Regards,Taryn Armitage

This camp was very, very nice.

After staying at Letaba we went to Mopani for 4 Nights. The overall San Parks experience was good with friendly staff. The only criticism was with the restaurants where the service was poor and the variety of meals limited.

Julius Mullinder

Service was great and the overall Park conditions were good

Steve Bothma

Camping sites need more organisation. Plots should be marked and numbered and persons allocated. The first come first served thing does not work and lends itself to abuse and misunderstanding.

Magdaleen Mouton

38 C is HOT, forgot how warm and humid it can be in December.Camp and bungalow was tidy, clean and neat.

Pieter Bettings

Good camp: power can be a problem sometimes: 10A supplies are under-rated.

Good DayWe had a very enjoyable stay, very relaxing. The only negative points that I may bring up, and I know that this being the Christmas season and the large numbers of people coming through was more than likely the cause, however the following may help for future travelers:The bathrooms at the camp were rather dirty, cracked tiles etc., that could also have been replaced made this part of the stay less enjoyable. We went to the restaurant for breakfast the one morning, waited over 30 minutes and asked 2 waiters for service but never even had the dirty glasses from the previous occupants of the table removed, so we went and had a picnic somewhere instead, this might help improve restaurant revenue if the service were better, I have heard this complaint from other people that have visited the park recently.Overall a very enjoyable experience and we will visit again soon.RegardsStephen

This was the best camp that we stayed over in, or so we thought! Day visitors inundated our "perimeter"(drunk and disorderly). So disappointing, always WAS the best place on earth. What happened to only permitting a certain amount of cars per gate?? We wont be back.

I must say, we had a great time in all of the camps but certainly did not get a great welcome in this camp. Everything was basic and staff seemed to be unhappy

John Mcginn

Beautiful camps. However, I have expected to see animals over and above the occasional impala, giraffe and elephant. Sighting boards were not updated. When I spoke to the Park employees at Letaba reception to get some advise in spotting any type of predators or larger animals I got a reply that I must go and pray.Very bad service and interaction with guests. This was my third and last visit to Letaba.

JK

My stay at Letaba was excellent mainly because it was my first visit to the park and my fist stay in the safari tent. I believe you can do better in the control of mosquitoes in those tents.

Azwiangwi Netshiomvani

Although we were just passing through to Mozambique, we had a most enjoyable stay in Letaba. Camp was clean, staff friendly. What a pleasure to be able to book on-line as well. Thanks!

Helga Watson

The place is nice, I like it.

Obed Zulu

Very nice - thoroughly enjoyed our trip.

Nicola Greyling

Accommodaiton very clean and pleasant. Staff very friendly. Lovely view over the Letaba river.

M. Weeks

it was fantastic will defently come again and again we love the nature and all its wild animals.EXCELLENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bianka Rust

Well organised clean camp we just stayed for one night but it was a pleasant experience. We did see a lot of the wild life on our way to Letaba.

Good cottage

Jan van Beest

Very good and clean

Jan van Beest

The accommodation and facilities in the camps are good and the staff are polite and helpful. Most importantly, the parks (i.e. for the animals)appear to be in very good health as human interference is still very limited AND IT SHOULD STAY THIS WAY TO PRESERVE THIS VERY SPECIAL RESOURCE. Many thanks, from a very proud 65 year old South African who thinks you guys are doing a great job. Keep it up.

A. Lotz

We enjoyed I stay a lot. The only complaint that we have is that the staff were very unhelpful.

Cathy

Hi there, 1. The reception staff on arrival at Letaba was courteous, friendly and efficient.2. The bungalow we stayed in was very clean and serviced on a regular basis. However a couple of the utensils were found missing on arrival. The set of crockery and glasses was incomplete for 3 people. This was reported to reception on departure but might need follow-up.3. Game was in abundance, especially on the gravel road loop between Letaba and Mopani rest camps. Saw plenty of elephant and big herds of buffalo. It was also the first time we saw a cheetah at Kruger. All in all a memorable stay, but why didn

HARRY SCUBERT

We found the bungalow quite sparsely furnished and dated. The utensils were inadequate. The communal cooking area was substandard. The wildlife was great!

Theoni Photopoulou

Poorly equipped bungalow. No toaster or chopping board or serving bowls. No teapot or any dishcloths or dish soap. The standard of equipment and what they supply varied from camp to camp. This makes it difficult to know what to take and irritating when the camp supplies bits and pieces.Restaurant and shop good.

G.Godfrey

We had a very pleasant stay in the Kruger Park. The bungalows were clean and everything /everyone was very pleasant. The only problem we had was with the shop in Mopani. We wanted to buy meat for a braai. On opening the fridge the smell was enough to put us off any desire to have a braai. In future we would bring our meat from the outside.

Sydney N Smith

Friendly and efficient service at restaurant. Good "a la carte" choices. Very good accommodation (although bats flying inside bungalow at night)

Serge SEREX

It was awesome to get back to the park after almost 5 years. The facilities at Letaba were great and always clean. We traveled extensively in our weeks stay going as far north as Shingwedzi and far south as Tshokwane. We saw plenty and were not disappointed. However on our exit of the Park we traveled south with the intention of going out at Malelane, this was cut short and we exited Kruger Gate due to the increase of vehicles and seeing viewers exit their vehicle to urinate on the side of the road clearly due to excessive alchol intake. We found this unacceptable behaviour close to Skukuza, and realised commercialisation is going to become a danger to the diversity of the park. The little things have to be addressed sternly. We did repremand the above law breakers only to be shrugged off.

Mike

This was my first time in Kruger and we used Letaba as an overnighter on our way to Mozambique. The resort was very relaxing and beautiful and I enjoyed the Kruger part of my holiday more than the rest. I would recommend it to anyone.

Jonathan Kiewiet

We thoroughly enjoyed Letaba.Shops throughout the park were exceptional.

Jacqui McCabe

it was the best trip i have ever taken after Thabametsi team building this year. Having my mom with me to the vacation was the most wonderful thing i could ever do for myself. I am most definitely coming back next year to see other animals and oh- the place and hospitality was five star treatment. Thank you Letaba Rest Camp.

Kruger Park is a joy, and Letaba is a great place to view the northern and middle sections. Very comfortable, great individual huts, convenient store, beautiful lookout over the river...a dream. Highly recommended.

Lee Hochberg

Accommodation was fine (was glad not to have to put up our own tent) but the fridge was in a poor state, balanced as it was on a stone and still not steady. Also, we came across a dead genet having been ridden over. We feel that the trades vehicles travel with little regard for game. Apart from that we were very happy to be in the Park once again and made very good use of our Wild Cards as we stayed at Burchell's Lodge most of the time and entered the Park daily

David and Megan Lowe

Wonderful experience. Would be helpful if one can evacuate bungalows at 10:00 instead of 09:00. Not enough time to have breakfast and pack after returning from early morning drive.

I am a very proud South African. Tourism is the hard of RSA. The people working in the park 90%(not the youngerones) would never greet you or smile or be helpful. You can say its there culture but they are working in the window of south Africa. Please teach them that skill. I visit KZN parks a lot. The people there are so helpful and friendly. We been to the restaurant at elephant camp. Begging for service. The only time they smile is when you get your bill. In the office at Letaba there was one man that was very helpful and friendly. At the shop the young girl is an example for everyone else.

Susan Vermeulen

We had a lovely stay but were disappointed about the rondavel. We had to turn the fridge each time we left the camp and the bedding was old and felt grimy. Towels were in a similar condition.

Clive Reddy

Very clean and neat, staff very very friendly and helpful - although staff was very friendly and helpful everywhere, they were exceptional at Letaba

Pierre

The fan in the cottage made a grinding noise at low speed . No cold water jug and no colander.

Jimmy Rein

Absolutely fantastic, we saw so much game and the whole big five, my highlight though was that we saw a Leopard.Thank you so much for a wonderful time.Blessings

CHANTELLE DE WITT

We found Letaba to be the most disappointing of the four camps we stayed at. The overall maintenance and care in the camp is very much below standard. The gardens are neglected and sorely in need of some attention. The camping area needs cleaning up, it is full of thorns and dead vegetation and weeds. The braais are few and far between and mostly unserviceable, i.e. rusted through. The swimming pool water was green and the area around the pool was shockingly neglected. The grass has not been cut for some time and the whole area is full of weeds and thorns. The umbrella and recliners are damaged. We thought that this area of the camp - sorely needed by visitors in the heat wave! - was disgraceful. Clearly there is a management problem at Letaba!

There was no electricity at Letaba from 18:00 on our day of arrival (07 Nov) until approx midnight of 08 Nov (36 hours). The staff were not concerned and actually said "This is Africa, get used to it".Our experience at Satara was 100%I will return to Kruger but never again go to Letaba - not even for a coffee.I have requested a refund from Sanparks, but I will not hold my breath. We had a German visitor to who we raved about the park, she was not impressed with the amenities or staff at Letaba either.

Pauline Hildebrandt

Inventory of crockery & cutlery incomplete and mixed odds & ends.Dusty areas in front of huts no longer watered. Many view points obstructed by shrubs & trees-very frustrating.Elephant hall of fame could be refreshed.

Roger Matthews

Me an my husband enjoyed the Park very much, Letaba is a lovely camp site, but I was a bit disappointed, nobody warned or informed me that renovations was being done to one of the ablution blocks, the only place to put up camp was near the renovations, it was noisy and far from the other ablutions, I would definitely visit the park again but not Letaba.

Karen Mackenzie

It was GREAT! Every thing was in place (bookings, bungalow fridge was switch on in advance, etc.) On the second day there was a problem with the electricity in the shop, so the till and lights were off (in the evening) but the staff walked the extra mile and lit some candles and did the calculations with a calculator. It took some time but every one appreciated their effort. The Kruger stays one of S.A. top destinations. We saw 4/5 big five and was lucky to see a kill (lions killed a giraffe near Olifants camp. Thank you for the good work you have done on the booking and I will definitely make use of you in the future

At first no one was recommending to camp in SA. But I can say they are wrong! Especially the campsites in Kruger were very well looked after. Clean campsite spots and showers, braai for every tent, beautiful surroundings, enough trees to put your tent in the shadow, not too crowded...

A pleasant surprise. Kruger is now well run. The camps are neat, clean and a pleasure to be in. The rondavels are well appointed and comfortable (including the mattresses). Well done Parks Board. The only downside was the restaurant in Letaba, which was at best pathetic and dirty. The food was so bad that guests were leaving in disgust without finishing their meals. We were served up rancid and bad lamb chops obvious by the smell alone without needing to taste and then vomit on the table. The manager who was more interested in his friends, one of which was sprawled across the table, deigned to enquire as to the problem and was not at all put out by bad food being served apart from the excuse of needing to defrost in the morning and the chops turning off during the day. He obviously has never heard of a refrigerator.Apart from this, .... again Well Done SA Parks Board, you can be JUSTIFIABLY PROUD.Ramsay Patmore

In all 3 restcamps my wife and I enjoy staying. The toilet facilities was above what we expected. Congratulations to all the workers for keeping our park in such a great condition, it is a well picture to our foreign visitors going back to their origin with good testomonies. Thanks again for making our stay such a big pleasure.

My brother and I had a fantastic stay in Letaba. It was quiet and relaxing, everything a stay in the bush should be. We would definitely come again!

Again receptionists did not acknowledge us when we entered reception. Shop assistant was more helpful. Again a microwave oven was missed. The young Afrikaans lady in the Elephant Hall was most knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. We loved the camp and will certainly return.

Sarel Dry

I have stayed at the Kruger park camps since 1989 and still find them to be sufficient and clean for our needs. Even the basic lodging is always nice. Only complaint would be the lack of choices on the menu in the restaurant in the low season. Quiet in our camp and friendly staff. Will always return!Service in restaurant is quiet slow for individuals who need to get going.

In general we had a good time; the view over the river in the early morning was very nice. While leaving Letaba, we joined others watching a bunch of lions in the riverbed. And later that day lions were harassed by the buffalo's they wanted to attack.

Thank you for offering an opportunity to pass on a few comments:Arrived at Punda gate at 08h30 on a Thursday morning. Toilets were a mess. Reported it to the lady at the desk. She did not seem over concerned. Not a good start. No big paper dust bin packet issued to each visitor. Surely this is an important deterrent to littering.General sloppiness prevailed at the Punda gate. First impressions are lasting impressions.Sorry to pass on some negative feedback. Rest of the stay was, as always, wonderful.

G. Whitaker

HiIt was definitely a vacation to remember except for one problem. Our inflatable mattress got a puncture on our 1st night. So we rented a mattress from reception, where they told us our money will be fully refunded if we brought the mattress back. However on the day of our departure the manager said sorry that was the wrong info and he is only going to give us R50 back. We had no problem paying for the mattress, but he made us feel like criminals because we 're expecting our money back & he said we should have known something wasn't right(sorry but we are the tourist how are we suppose to know...)!But further it was a wonder experience and a great vacation. We also would like to give a big thanks to the game rangers Rihanna & Jacques they were very nice and helpful. We are already planning our next vacation to the Kruger and can't wait to see you all again.

Schalk Groenewald

We loved Letaba. The accommodation was older but very clean and VERY spacious - two families stayed easily in one 6 sleeper unit.Fantastic game viewing at the river RIGHT in front of our unit!

Lauren Frost

I was surprised that we had to pay the conservation fees a second time around when we already paid in Olifants and we did not get out of the park

Emmanuelle

Very nice experience. The booking-in procedure at Letaba could have been better. Lady did not seem overly competent or friendly. Also - the money paid over at the gate of entry did not make sense as the 3 vehicles in our group paid different tariffs and it was not quite clear what the difference in tariffs were for. But apart from that it was great. Bathrooms were clean. Camp was neat and overall the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Chris de Vries

Letaba was great. We had a great experience and the staff were all very helpful.

It's a beautiful camp but Monkeys are a problem.Grounds are not raked which is disappointing.

Camp site Power and bathroom facilities had some issues... Please also note that Gas is now regulated like petrol and the Park cannot ask inflated prices.Other than this we had a great time in the Kruger park (Letaba) and will do it again.

DJ vdBerg

This camp has great services available. Parking lot is a bit of a confusion but once you know where you are going it has a lot to offer. Don't miss the elephant museum! This area is becoming one of my favorites and i have been here over 5 times now.

Michael Calamia

Staff was very friendly at all times. Ablution blocks exceptionally cleaned. Camp very clean and beautiful.

Sonja van Niekerk

Will do so again next year, only a bit longer. A weekend is too short.

Ronel Venter

The only main problem with the camp is that you can never find the time to stay as long as you want to.The service, ablutions, campsite and evening braais were exceptional. Thanks to all staff at KNP - swell jobEven the Moz border post excellent.A definite must go!

Thanks - the service was good, I will go back again soon. The geme rangers was so good to us, they explain all life of animals we meet - thanx

The house is lovely (love the 4 private rooms) and the private lookout over the Letaba river is amazing. There is however need for some repair. The beautifull chairs are a bit rickety and needs to be stabelized, not all matresses are firm and the little carpets and waste baskets in the bathroom needs to be replaced, the toilets also needs attention. Very noisy campers, consuming large amounts of alcohol and disturbing the peace and tranquility that one expects to enjoy in the Park. Also feeding the hyenas walking along the fence at night. They should be black-listed and banned from the Park.

J J Fourie

Cleaning staff unfriendly at Letaba. Reception staff OK . Maintenance staff quick to respond on a Sunday! At Olifants, all were pleasant and co-operative. Duty Managers were efficient and quick to respond to a blocked drain problem.Game drive ranger Travis was v. pleasant and informative. At Olifants Bungalow 98 had no crockery or cutlery which we were not informed about.Weather spoilt the holiday. Sies!Just noticed a separate page for Olifants, but I'm not filling it in (see above).

Very nice camp we loved the pathway round the camp taking one along the fence line where we were able to watch Elephants grazing meters away from us. The restaurant was fantastic I did not feel I was being ripped off, as it was value for money and the breakfast that we had was tasty and unique. Obviously being a more popular camp we expected the higher volumes of people who were more social campers thus its not the most peace full camp sight but I

Excellent value for money and a well kept camp, Letaba is certainly one of the best in Kruger.

We had a fantastic camping weekend at Letaba rest camp on Sunday we packet up and decided to has a quick bite at the cafeteria before we leave. Not to say quick. It took us a half hour to get six cool drinks. Once we received that we ordered six pies chips and gravy. Twenty minutes later they told us they don't have six pies but only two. We then ordered burgers and chips. Half hour later they arrived. They were terrible. How can we serve overseas customers with kind of quality. There is no pride in the service. What happened to the good old buffalo pies and real beef burgers.

Anthony Baker

Great camp, love the elephant hall; will visit again.

Sara Hughes

We had a wonderful experience in the Kruger Park. It was our first visit and definitely not the last. Our only complaint would be the lack of steak knives. Many thanks

Karen Bedford

The camp is looking great, even though it was very dry. So glad to see that the bungalows are being upgraded and looking good. Exceptionally clean. The food was good at the restaurant but a little expensive for SA visitors. We ate there for 2 nights but decided a third night was a little too much.My BIG disappointment was that I am over 60 years old and was offered no discount.

Sandy Meyer

Chalet was 100% and the shop was good, including the staff. As for the reception - staff attitude needs upgrading, BUT the restaurant service, quantity and quality of food was BAD. Prices of snacks leaves an almost abusing feeling: no option, currency abuse for foreigners.

Adri Uys

After an early morning start on Saturday we returned to Letaba for an afternoon relax before going out for a sunset drive. On arrival at Letaba we found a radio station set up outside doing a outside broadcast.I was forced to listen to loud music which I would never listen to, in fact I had never even heard of the radio station in question.I am bemused as to why Kruger Park thinks this is an appropriate area to have an open area broadcast of loud irritating music which was of no relevance to probably 90% of the occupants/residents of Letaba. When I made a booking I was never informed that the would be a radio station playing loud music right outside my chalet window? In conclusion it meant I had to spoil my Saturday afternoon relax by running around trying to find the right person to deal with the situation. When I did find someone I was informed I would have to listen to the noise until 15h00.This is unacceptable -this is a rest camp in a nature environment, I should have not been subject to any loud music at all.In your own brochure it states no loud stereo noise so as not to upset other guests and animals?Your comments would be interesting?

Trevor Volker

We saw less animals than on previous visits. Not impressed with police and staff vehicles speeding along the roads obviously ferrying staff. Accommodation good. Evening meal in Lebaba restaurant okay, menu uninteresting (no venison!) service poor. Loud music playing late at night behind our bungalow (staff?).

We had a wonderful trip to Letaba and would recommend this camp as the best camp in the Kruger Park due to it's view over the Letaba River. Remember to take a torch, luckily friends helped us out. I found the conservation fees for foreigners (on top of the bungalow fee) as quite high compared to locals.

Hannes van Vuuren

Cleanliness at the ablution blocks has seriously deteriorated. On 3 occasions the floors were so dirty that people were unable to use the facilities and on the day of arrival there was no hot water. I am a regular to the Kruger Park and have been there approximately 3 times / year for the last 30 years. Its is the 1st time that I have the inclination to complain about what used to be my favourite campsite. There is also an obvious lack of electricity distribution points as some people had to go and buy another 30m lead to access it. Disorganization in the restaurants is at an all time high. The food is also a mass produced tasteless experience and the good old pie, chips and gravy of the past have been replaced with something awful. I witnessed tourists complaining in Olifants camp and, having the same thing on my plate, was actually embarrassing.

Dennis Phillips

It was a nice break away.We will do it again.

Jeanette Wolmarans

We were surprised by the many lions in the area and even saw njalas near Olifantskamp. Large herds of elephants and buffaloes.

Kitta Hattingh

I think that the floors could be mopped as they are very dusty, the cups are too small no coffee cups supplied and a toaster could be added to the rooms. The staff are all very friendly and efficient.

John Hogberg

The game up North seems to be deteriorating...maybe the poachers are killing more than just Rhino?I wont go there again.

This was my first time at Kruger park and we had an awesome time. From the booking I received very good and friendly service and at Letaba self the staff is friendly, the camping ablutions were kept in good, clean conditions. All our needs were met once in the camp sites. The atmosphere is one of peace and relaxed. We saw a lot of wild and the big 5 all in one day which was great. Overall an awesome holiday and I will definitely visit Kruger Park again.

Rene van der Merwe

We had an amazing experience. We had two very wealthy, well travelled Americans with us and they were absolutely delighted with the accommodation and the game viewing. They felt they had really experienced Africa 'like a local'. Thankyou for keeping the parks in such good condition, which made us proud. The only grip would be the restaurants at the camps could be improved on, but otherwise, we have already booked for next year around the same time! Hope the game viewing is just as wonderful!

Andrew Bone

Very dry riding along side the river from Letaba to Olifants camp we were blessed with a lot of game sights. The service at Satara were bad after one and a half hour they couldn't give our order. They still want to force us to pay for the food they cant deliver.

J D Venter

The camp is beautiful, but we were a bit disappointed to see not much wild. We drew many kilometres to see some wild we haven`t seen in Pretoriuscamp, but it was fun as well. I would stay in Satara or Skukusa next time for sure.I loved the Safari tents! Keep up the good work. Hope to see you a again soon.

Dian Kriel

Nice to visit the park after 6 years.

Reauliza Volschenk

Entered through Kruger Gate early morning on Friday.Glad to see the Big 5 and other animals. Stayed over in Letaba Camp, where the reception staff was very friendly and helpful, even at the gate as we were 15min late because of the detour on the way to Letaba. The cottage was clean and neat. The cleaners was very friendly. I don't have any complaints. Hoping to return there very soon. Thanks!

Pieter du Plessis

The food prices at Letaba camp shop were not in comparison with the other camps. Paid R23.00 for 6 eggs and R39.50 for a 500ml orange juice!

Beukes

Camp was great. The elephants are destroying the scenery. Purchased food was old and distasteful and not child friendly. No child friendly bathrooms. Furthermore a great experience.

Elzette Kruger

Will go back anytime to this camp, will recomend this camp to anybody who is visting the park.

Tokkie Fourie

Staff at the entrance gates and reception at the camp were friendly and efficient. Roads in good condition, the picnic spots and general appearance of the park still very good. The lady doing the housekeeping in hut E70 was surly and the equipment in the hut either sub-standard or non-existent, e.g. no tin opener, missing and or non-matching crockery etc. Our grandson from Berlin accompanied us on this return visit to Letaba after 15 years and apart from the housekeeping aspect we all had a good experience.

Hendrik Birkholz

We had a wonderful time and the facilities were excellent. The shop at Letaba could do with more stock and variety with regards food produce. We visited other camps and they seemed to have more stock. Cannot wait to come back. All staff were so friendly and helpful. Thank you so much for a wonderful trip.

This was a great holiday and without any doubt it will be an annual holiday. My Kids loved the park and the people were all friendly and inviting.

Will not stay at the bungalow again.

Kesh

The accommodation was beyond my expectations. Very, very comfortable indeed. Highly recommended, for a group stay.

Kesh

The accommodation is clean and comfortable and the gardens are very pretty! The view of the river is wonderful although we didn't see big 5 animals! We enjoyed a great week-end at Letaba!

Gina Vermaak

Campsites were very sandy and did not get a very good stand. Luckily it was only for one night. Prefer to sleep in Chalets when visiting the KNP.

DOLORES VAN DYK

Piet Kruger

The rondavel that was allocated is by far the best that we have ever had and seemed to be recently renovated, why can one not select your accommodation in advance, instead of take what you get offered, this time we were lucky.

Ernie Botha

Dries Lombaard

The bungalow was ok, the pillows and bedding was very old and really not nice. Terrible actually.

Johann Weiermans

I think the park is still wonderful. The only gripes I have is the linen is old and grey and as for the restaurants they are disgusting and much to be desired. They are not what South Africans are use to and that you are feeding that to international customers you should be ashamed.

Ursula van Rooyen

Letaba is a beautiful place, with nice stands. However, I think there was some sewerage problems on the night we stayed there - a terrible stench!

We had a wonderful stay in the park, enjoyed every moment of it! Will definitely stay over again for more than one night and to a trip with a ranger, just to see some "wild cats"!!!

We had a wonderful stay but would request that they add a microwave oven either in their community kitchens or in the bungalows

Reeva Horwitz

DID NOT LIKE THE FACT THAT THE BRAAI AREA LOOKS DIRECTLY ONTO THE BACK BUNGALOW BUT UNDERSTAND THAT THIS IS DUE TO THE OLD BUILDING STRUCTURE AND KNOWS NOTHING CAN BE DONE - WOULD HAVE LIKED A BIT MORE PRIVACY.

Karin Coetzee

Loved Kruger Letaba needs a bit of TLC tables outside the bungalows would be great.

Ursula van Rooyen

It had been the time of my life that I will remember for a long time, until the next time I go again thanks for the reservations that's been done again.

I COETZEE

We found the bungalows outdated, cramped and without any privacy. We stayed at the Limpopo national park in mozambique and found their accommodation far better that Krugers. Kruger needs to do a bit of a revamp for the price they charge.

COLETTE RILEY

The settings of the tents were more private but were really the most basic of all.

COLETTE RILEY

The location of our bungalow was great and enjoyed seeing game just the other side of the fence.

D.N.Watson

Hut was clean and we had a marvellous stay.

L Dashwood

We were very happy with our accommodation and experience in the park. The camp was immaculately clean, the staff very friendly, the roads and signing very good.We saw lots of game. All in all we will be back.Thank you, Katrien

K de Haeck

Our stay in this camp was very eventfull. The night sounds was clear and there was many different sounds. The camp is amazing especially the Elephant Hall, we learnt a lot from this experience. All staff was very freindly and very helpfull. The view over the river was beautyful and there were a lot of animal activity around the river. Overall this was a very intresting visit.

NICOLENE WAGNER

We really enjoyed our stay at Letaba Rest Camp. Everything we needed was avaialbe in the Bungalow and in the shop. It was so relaxing to sit outside on the stoep and watch the fire while our food was cooking and to listen to all the sounds of the camp/park. I will definitely stay there again.

Lydia & Geo Dunn

i would suggest that they start racking up the grass as the thorn trees drop their branches and makes it very difficult to walk there. they can also start watering the grass so that it can ge back to the beauty it was in the past

B Wilkins

Thank you for an enjoyable one night stay . Rustic with all the comforts . Pity we would have loved to see more wildlife - maybe better luck next time!!

Wasley

Safari tent a bit far from ablution facilities

Albert Jooste

We enjoyed our stay in the camp, the park

Braam

Fantastic trip once again to the Kruger Park, and staying in my favourite camp of Letaba just made it that much better. Facilities looked a little run down (maintenance wise) in certain areas, however it was still amazing and we will be back for sure.

Scott Cousins

Love visiting the Kruger National Park, people are friendly, camp is neat and clean and you can buy the basic's from the store!

gert lewis

I can only say that everything about the park was wonderful, we first did a walk at Letaba, it was fabulous, from the guides to the cook to the food to the huts, just fantastic. The guides are very knowledgeable, friendly and have a wonderful sense of humour. We then spent 3 days in the camp, once again from the receptionist to the lady at the Elephant hall to the guard at the gate, to the staff at the restaurant, wonderful, friendly, fantastic. The camp is in very good condition, the bungalow was spotless.

Guest house accommodation were great with great view, again please be sure to have Wi-Fi hot spot available, especially for foreign visitors. We were delighted to meet Thomas, one of the rangers whose main job is to secure the park against the rhino poachers. Thomas's enthusiasm and dedication to his job was contagious, and we wish Thomas success in fighting the rhino poaching scourge

Sam Farag

There is something about nature that puts you into a different headspace. You don't realise it's happening. Being in the Kruger Park, the simplicity of the accommodation, this all helps.

Mark Varder

Spent a very enjoyable 3 days in the park.I have two complaints:1)Had to pay R 6-80 for a box of matches in the Letaba Camp shop.A RIP OFF2)Witness overseas tourists refusing to eat the poor quality food in the the Letaba restaurant. The catering in the Park must be outsourced to private restaurant operators who are trained and experienced to cater at a standard that is acceptable to an overseas tourist.

charles buffa

A very beautiful camp and nice to stay. The water in our bungalow not hot enough for example to take a shower.( Had reported that on two occasions) Is there anything that they can do on all this little thorns on the open areas under the trees

Michiel du Toit

Dreary camp, so over recommended to us. No animals and very bleak. Expected more for what was told to us.

PHILIP CLOETE

We were self catering and therefore were reliant on your communal kitchens. I went to wash up and found it filthy. Cleaned up the washing up area. Went back at lunch time to cook our meal and found nothing had been touched. It was disgusting - candle grease blobs on the surfaces, black pieces all over, leaves and dirt on the floors, stains, you name it, goodness knows when last it was cleaned. Complained and Asst Manager came to see it. I was very upset but he reprimanded me for shouting but did not apologise for the state of this kitchen.

G J Ortlepp

What a wonderful experience. The chalet in the camp was excellent, the staff friendly, the booking procedure painless but the food at the restaurant was awful. Service was good - food was just awful.

Great overall. It is a pity there is no more cocktails available, that goes with the sunset in the bush. The service in Letaba was above average. We were twice at Satara camp and the service was terrible!

the bungalows were not spotless. the stoves did not work. one of the kettles did not work. the bathrooms were not clean, linene is old, towels need upgrading. overall cleanliness is not good. The bungalows are expensive for what they are we are then charged an entry fee which is a rip odd if you are staying there.the shops are good and stock almost everything but are very pricey

CAROL

Seriously Kruger! I told a lady in the Kruger that I will drive far to eat a nice plate of food. This just does not exist in the Kruger! Coffee - oh my goodness - nothing less than absolute poison and you pay big money for it! I have no complaints but the service in the restaurants and level of commitment and training of the staff in the restaurants is way below average. We might not need new restaurants BUT need serious training, menu upgrades and investment in this area. You will lose people because of this. Other than that - well, the people working in the Kruger speeding is a major issue. Needless - a good time.

Hennie van Loggerenberg

Could use some upgrading of bungalows, but is overall a nice camp

Jan Koetsier

It was all we expected, and more. Enjoyed swimming pool. Camp in pristine condition.

Ina Loots

We have seen an improvement in the park since the last visit. Service has improved except was very dissapointed at Skukuza. Staff sitting around, especially in lady toilets, they were not clean but when u go to wash your hands they are handing out towel for your hands and expect tips, but feel they should rather clean. Visited Tshokwana picnic spot and have to say the service was excellent, so helpful and efficient. Lataba camp was also very nice. Restuarant service also excellent and friendly. So nice to see an improvement from last year, the staff actually greet where as before they found it difficult to acknowlege you. So keep up the good work.

Cheryl Steyn

Dear Accommodation Direct, Please note the following comments: We planned to move up through the park, so as to take advantage of the diverse eco-systems.We planned to eat at the restaurants in the different camps, so that we didn

Letaba is A1 for the bungalow and the area. Fantastic stay

Des Taylor

My husband and me enjoyed our stay at Letaba Rest Camp. The rooms were spacious and clean. The attached kitchen had all the basic amenities. Perfect to cook meals. The restaurant too had good quality food. The staff were friendly and helpful. Also we could see most animals in and around Letaba camp site.Thank you for your hospitality

Shreya Moray

Letaba is our favourite camp, and as always we were not disappointed!

Marins Saayman

The shop was extremely expensive, but other than that, we had a wonderful holiday.

Claire Potgieter

No keys were available for the safari tent that was assigned to us, thus all your luggage was left unlocked when leaving the camp for game viewing. At night the noise, music, screaming etc from the staff quarters was so loud that you couldn't hear the animals and couldn't just relax. I was also disappointed in the cleanliness of the ablution blocks. At Satara camp the Custos Naturae flag hung upside down. What a disappointment! Not the Kruger National Park standards we are used to!

Marna Pohl

Always such a great break! Cannot get enough!Small hassles with monkeys helping themselves to our grub though! Find cupboards and fridge doesn't have securing clips to prevent "food theft" and some drying hooks for dish cloths will be great.- dirk de villiers

We enjoyed I stay a lot. The only complaint that we have is that the staff were very unhelpful.

Had a lovely stay at Letaba. Drove up to see Mopani camp, would love to use sleep out hide or stay here next time. Large volumes of elephant. Did afternoon walk, and very impressed.Perhaps food menus could be modernised a bit.

Hi guys.I have a few sugestions. Please ensure that the entire swiming pool area has been planted overall with grass - not thorns and open soil. The camp was not full so we wanted to invited family to join us after the long weekend rush, but according to bookings the camp was full? Can we sharpen up on cancellations? I love the new ice and water machine - well done!!!

Such a treat, well come and visit again soon!!

Karlien Joubert

Adequate arrangements except that cabin I asked you for was not requested - I asked to see the booking request from safari.com and it was not mentioned on it. This meant that we were given one away from the fence as opposed to that which I had obviously requested as I booked so far in advance - and was in fact standing empty for one of the 3 nights. I will therefore book directly with the camp in future. This did not however change the fact that Letaba really is a beautiful camp and we loved being there. Park looking very good too and river flowing strongly. Thank you.

Lindsay McCay

Letaba camp is just awesome - watching the surise and sunset over the river bed is magnificent

Mandy Tebbit

It was fantastic to stay in a clean airconditiond Bungalow after camping in a tent while on a two week visit to Mozambique. We also enjoyed the trip from Letaba leaving the park at Orpen Gate.

Gert Byleveldt

WE were surprised at the number of different animals we saw in 2 days. The bushbuck in the camp provided an amazing experience for us. I found the accommodation very basic but did not expect anything more other than a full set of cutlery (forks were missing, so short of eating with our hands we had to share a fork). The stove was also faulty, which we did report.

Very little game, only the most common animals were seen. The lodging was OK, very big family cottage, good location. The offer in the restaurant rather weak, poor relation quality/ value.

We had an incredible holiday. The service in the 3 camps that we stayed at was excellent. When we arrived at Letaba the dishes were not cleaned properly. Otherwise it was outstanding. Thank you.

The permanent tents are well planned, close to the shop and pool. Nice private view into the park, spotted a hyena at the fence even a few bushbucks in the camp.

We enjoyed our stay tremendously, but did not see a lot of animals....

Nicola Brits

We were camping and there was a group of people that was very noisy they were drinking a lot and was very loud somebody did complain a park official did came to speak to them it was better but still disturbing. When I go to Kruger I want to hear night owls, hyena and lion etc at night not drunk people.

Andre Lotter

This camp needs attention - the quality of the power provided to the campsite has to be dangerous and the provision of amenities such as the coffee shop style eating at night is clearly needed. (The table d'hote is very expensive for a family!) The pool is great

Felicity Coughlan

We enjoyed it very much. Found the staff to be friendly and competent.Just tell visitors not to include a flat tyre as part of them planning their trip.(Joke)

Everything was great, we had a marvelous time until we spotted the poached rhino just the other side of the Letaba river. It was a sad sight to see!!!!

Jenalee Pearson

The weekend was to short but very enjoyable. One big problem is the "braai's" at the camping site all very shoddy. Some are just wheel rims which are a total disaster.

We were back in SA after 12 years of retiring from South and Central Africa; it felt like coming home and the excitement was overpowering. Our bookings were made by Heleen Coetzee from the advance booking team who was excellent as I tried coordinate 4 families.3 of the family branches were in camping vehicles with Roof top tent. We found the campsites very good, clean and well run even if sometimes the equipment seemed a little tired. The couple running the Tsendze camp were excellent greeting each person and enquiring about their welfare. The man had a wonderful sense of humour and excellent English. I do not remember his name unfortunately. Similarly at Balule, the camp was beautifully kept with a peaceful green space at the centre and a man in charge who was friendly and efficient. The part of the family who stayed in the rest houses were very pleased with their accommodation. Only one set back at Mopani and that was the swimming pool where the water was green. However, the beautiful view from the restaurant area made up for it.The staff at Letaba were excellent, I would particularly like to mention Humprey at Reception, Connie in the shop and Noel and Kelvin in the Laundry who dealt with any problem with a smile.Shingwedze after the Easter rush was marvellous to be in.We only have one little complaint and that would be with the perceived attitude of the ladies cleaning the ablutions and some of the gardening staff, they were neither friendlynor did they give the impression of enjoying their work. However, our enthusiasm for the Kruger park increases and having introduce 2 other people to its delights I am sure word of what a marvellous holiday you can have will spread. My husband and I are already planning another trip; it will not be another 12years before we visit again.many thanks to all.

JANE MOLLOY

My parents enjoyed it very much,it is just a pity that all good things must come to an end. They are both satisfied and well rested. Thank you very much. Regards, Diana du Preez (daughter)

Dinie Pieterse

I did enjoy the park as all ways. The fauna of the northern part differs from the southern part especially at Punda Maria. The wild life here is not as abundant as in the south due to vegetation.Unlucky there is all ways negative experiences that occur. The ablution facilities in both Letaba Camp and Punda Maria was not adequate for all the campers. The reason for me and many other campers is to enjoy the tranquility and sounds of nature and not sounds of drunken people. Some of the users of the Park do not obey the rules of the road. Kruger Park is a pass through for foreigners to Maputha and they demolish the gravel roads

PCV Joubert

Everything was like always excellent. We enjoy every bit of it, thank you!

Too much regulation at times-gates close too early, not enough access to some good viewing spots. At times we felt that the park was being hidden from us.

I have been a regular visitor to the Kruger many years back, and after a long break booked in at Letaba, upgraded, neat and all that work there are enthusiastic... game drive with Cecilia was awesome, she is cautious and caring... Cecilia at the shop is pleasant and very helpful... Bassie at Reception was a delite to deal with and the absolute best was the chap (missed his name) who took the time to find us wandering around the Elephant Museum, invited us in to watch a movie... and really a pleasure to deal with... the restaurant (Lawrence) is just there to please, wonderful people all available to make our stay perfect... Thank you.Unfortunately staff and delivery trucks particularly the CocaCola trucks all drive too fast, the sad part was seeing many dead animals in the road... they should be warned about the speed that they drive..
